I bought the debut a few weeks ago but I wish I got California. It sounds a bit dated now and some of it sounds like the Chilis early stuff. Anyone got the Tomahawk albums? |

The debut is crap IMO, he's still got the high pitched voice and most of the songs are shit. I've got both Tomahawk albums, I listened to the first one a lot and it's pretty dull, the second one has been getting very good reviews and I need to listen to it more. |

Seems like I picked the wrong one. Its not bad, its just not great. Well, I bought a second hand copy so its not too great a loss. Should have gone for Disco Volante though. Is that good? Wondered what the Fantomas stuff was like. I have The Director's Cut which is brilliant; especially the Henry Mancini tune. |

Fantomas are good, I'd probably just take Director's Cut over the first record - the live split with the Melvins is nice but the sound quality could be stronger. Volante is definitely my favourite Bungle record but a lot of people dig California most. I still think Patton's best performances are Angel Dust and King For A Day. Dillinger's EP was a brilliant combination I think. His solo albums are pretty gash. I like some of his other solo work too. Phew. |
