I listened to Clarence Park today after a much extended break and it sounded a lot better than I remember it sounding. The only thing is that none of the tracks seem to flow and they are too short as well, they seem to stop just as I am getting in to them. Odd as it won't sound, but it kind of reminded me of a lot of music made by people here...similar standard and frustration when listening to it :D

i love this album too. have just got it recently and think the shortnes is not a problem, more one of its great characteristics. been listening to it so much recently, like 6-7 times a day.

Fuck, the only problem is songs that are too loooong! Chris´ tracks are to the point, no wanky 4-minute intros, just punky electronica and lush melodies. Clarence Park rocks my socks off. I never even thought of it as a short album ´til people started fussing about it ´cuz there´s just so much going on in there, you know?
And yeah, the new ep is tops as well. "The Gavel" is mindblowingly good. Really looking forward to the album..
Can anyone recommend any other artists that sounds somewhat like Chris Clark?? (I haven´t found any yet, I don´t really agree with the "afx-clone" label he´s been getting)Y ou know fast, rowdy electronica without the usual tiring amen-fuckupery..

The reason he got the AFX clone label is because of the sounds he uses, some of them are very twinish...but as for style I can't see much similarity between the two of them, in fact I would go so far as to say he is he first proper next generation artist of the Warp stable, he seems to have a style that encompasses a lot of the label's output from the last decade as well as some new ideas.

I think he sounds even more like afx on the new EP. Especialy on acid tracks "A Council" and "Rob Lee".
I don't mind tho , i like Afx =)
