It sounds like you have to listen to a radio station at work that plays "oldies but goodies" and so are sick of some potentially good songs.
How could "Suzanne" come anywhere near this thread? And Beatles and Pink Floyd? Even their worsts songs are so much better than so much tripe out there today.
How about those pop divas, Mariah Carey, Bette Midler, Celine Dion. Blurgh! And all those horrible pop-bogan bands like Def Leppard and Poison. Or maybe some one hit wonders like Milli Vanilli or Vanilla Ice.
I can also think of quite a few Australian songs, but nobody outside the country would have heard them. Hopefully.
Boy Bands, Girl Bands and those ridiculous techno covers, like 'Bob the Builder'.
I personally would have to vote for Sail Away by Enya and Do You Really Want To Hurt Me by Boy George.
Have you ever had a song that got stuck in your head for weeks? Well, these two did for me.

I did wonder if you cheated...
Good Charlotte - haha gotta love 'em. Me & my mate said the guy that made / produced that record was probably "a fat bald guy wanking into a handful of cash"
You guys haven't got Busted though... be thankful for that!
(Busted rule saturday morning TV. They NAILED that market so perfectly, their manager deserves some kind of award.)

let me listen to 244 tracks on my radio... oh wait.
i forgot how US radio is shit. i'll only about 24 songs today. :-)
can't help you.
speaking of "making plans for nigel," both Primus and Pitchshifter have done some pretty good covers of the song.
Primus cover is on the "Miscellaneous Debris" EP, Pitchshifter's is on the "Un-United Kingdom" EP, I believe...
no... it was Genius...

pretty horrible cover indeed : ) but see this one, it isn't half good either ; )
(don't worry, it's not the band on the pic! the singer is pretty good-looking actually.)
