Come on people, I want information!! :D

I've being playing Unreal Tornament across the Internet with
friends, and am wondering what other games are out
there.....nothing too taxing in hardware terms.....but maybe
other games apart from Quake and Doom shooting games. Any
racing type or space multiplayer games.....anything...

...ohhh and whether or not they are downloadable

Your posts will be greatly appreciated..

Slagging people off in chat rooms is a pretty good game,
don't need much ram either

There is some plugin for mame that allows you to play 2
player arcade games over the net (SF2, etc) can't remember
the name though.

something like kaillera client i think...

i play a lot of battlefield 1942 and operation flashpoint,
but they're both pretty demanding in hardware terms

Starcraft is definitely the superior multiplayer net game of
all the ones that I've played.

well, there's your counterstrike..

even better, a mod of CS: Natural Selection. its a
combination of strategy and fps - you either play in a team
with space marines or in a team with aliens. the marines
have a commander who can see the whole map, plans strategy
and gives commands to the other players.
the aliens are connected through their "hive" and sense
where other players and enemies are.
it hangs heavily on teamplay. very good.

and Neverwinter Nights.. haven't played it in multiplayer
yet.. single player has been pretty great.. :)

Damn i forgot about Neverwinter... How is the single player?
I heard multiplayer is fucking sweet cuz its just like real
D&D.

You should really try multiplayer and tell us how it is.
Ever play Baldurs Gate? Its sort of like a 2D version of
NWN, without a Dungeon Master, so basically you had to
follow the same plot line every time you played. I got sick
of it real quick.
