I was just wondering...what sort of music/artists did you listen to, BEFORE you got into Aphex Twin and the lifestyles of braindance?

i was into punk - like earlier stuff from the '77 era. before that i was into nin, nirvana, etc. i got into aphex first ("flim" was the first track i heard, and it utterly captivated me), then graduated to autechre.

I was 12 when I got into AFX so I there's reason; Korn, Marilyn Manson, Atari Teenage Riot, NIN, then came AFX, now I've moved from AFX to 50s blackface ambiet crap, and Phil Collins' "Sussudio" has been gettin' big runs on my thing. I prefer films to music now, or ambience, crap basically.

who else is tired of people on the board for bagging drukqs for 'not being as good as the rdj album'?
its different. hes experimenting as much as ever. and the piano tracks ARE good.
unless you dont have an open mind and just want striaght out drill and bass.
i think drukqs is great! give it a chance. when i first heard rdj album i was dissapointed for it not having the same sound as 'i care because you do' but now it has grown to be one of my favorites.
anyone else please post your oppinion, possitive or negative.
