Yeah apparently animals are killed and used for clothing, shocking isn't it? I heard a rumour that they're put into our food too but I don't believe it!!!

People only give a damn because puppys are "cute". A leather coat wouldn't get into the news unless it was made from the hide of an endangered species...

No, but only because: a) It'd be expensive b) It'd look shite. c) It'd be too warm for this climate. d) I'm allergic to dogs :)
I am actually sitting in a leather chair as I type this, I don't have a problem that a cow was killed so I can have a nice, hard wearing chair. Admiteddley, the cow was probably also used for meat, whereas puppy's were just killed.
I just think it's unfair that fur gets a bad rap when leather (whilst typically using less animals per garment) gets off nearly scot free.

sorry last sentence should read:
I just think it's unfair that fur gets a bad rap when leather (whilst typically using less animals per garment), which is far more widespread (and I've even seen photographs of a fur protester wearing what appears to be a leather jacket...)
gets off nearly scot free.

It's actually only going for £1,000 !
I guess it's just my morals here. I won't eat egs from battery hens and I'll only eat meat from animals that are farmed. I don;t wear fur but I will wear keather and sued cause.. well.... I've already eaten the cow.
There's a picture here aswell of how the animals are actually treated and it stinks to be honest.
They have labrador rugs and kittn skins too.
I just think it's plain mean >=o(
