THIS IS THE SHIZZIT! I made my own secure server yesterday! totally legal and free! ClarkConnect is a free system that makes ANY PC into a server! FTP, Webserver, Firewall (damn good!), mailserver, etc. etc. etc.... The cool thing about it is that it's all configured through a webadmin. So you don't have to think linux-interface. It's configured through windows! :D Anyway...the specs for my server are: 350@400 AMD/K6-2 196MB SD-RAM 10GB Maxtor HD 1 x D-Link LAN 1 x Intel Management-card LAN Right now it runs in my hallway closet only with a keyboard hooked to it (for rebooting if needed) checkout if youre interested in this stuff, cuz it's really worth it. I have two computers on this server, and they are fully hacker-protected. PS: the webadmin-layout is the same as the ClarkConnect-page ;) |
