i know i've asked questions very similar to this one before, and i sincerely apologize man, but i can't help it. i have to ask this because i am about to get reason and i'm fucking anxious to try it out. it's driving me nuts. what i'm asking is, are the synth sounds any good? how many effects can i get with this thing? i haven't ever even touched a synthesizer so i have no idea what kind of sounds i can make with one, and i am curious if the synth on REASON has many different sounds in it. please help me, oh please do.

Well, what type of music are you going to make? I heard it's geared towards more "dance" type of stuff. You should keep your options open by using multiple programs to compose songs. I just think if you used an "all-in-one" type of program you would be limiting yourself. Never really liked any product the is an "all-in-one". Can't you get the demo of Reason anyway? Why don't you mess with that for a bit and see what you think. I think the only limitation on the demo is that you cannot save and it times out after 20 or 15 min.
