wow, check out this software. Its not out yet, but man, its
hot!

Alls you do is type in the words, and the notes, and it
freaking singings it for you! And im not talking apple talk
kind of voice... im talking HIGH quality! Esspessially
considering the ease of use.

And different voices are availible!

Check it out!

Yamaha Vocaloid (2nd one down)

yeah!

I hope they make it for Mac!

But i mean, the ease of it... god damn

And its so useful... from using it from a songwriters
needs... puting down lyrics and music onto a temp track,
instead of having to sing and record all the parts, or using
the software more creatively (I can definatly see IDM
musicians taking advantage of this!)

absolutely...one more step in the right direction, it almost
sounds real, they're almost there

yeah, and then when they get it sounding real enough, they
can make a software that spits out pop tunes.... that,
coupled with a fucking tight cgi artist, and instant
popstars (see the movie simon?)

but yeah, anyways... its great for me, cause I always have
ideas of vocals in my tracks... if not words... but like
background stuff... (and hey, maybe this will give me the
flexibility to write music with lyrics?)

haha instant pop stars, just what we need...i heard that
movie was kinda good, i might rent it...ya know, i actually
kinda like how it sounds almost real but not exactly if it
sounded real it would be just like having someone sing, the
computer tang in the lyrics has an appeal, especialy with
electronic musicians

Looks pretty cool, have you ever used "Voices of the
Apocalypse"? Similair sort of thing, but more for
choral/formal harmony singing than pop song type of
things...

Very impressive, I wonder if the tremolo on the female voice
(amazing grace) is intentional... I'd like to hear an
accapella of it doing a nursery rhyme :)

I love it! In an instant all vocalists are rendered
obsolete. I hope this forces Madonna (who always had a
machine-like touch to her voice) to pay a visit to her local
employment office.
