B12 - anyone know where they are?

I know they allegedly ditched the music business due to
(amongst other things) being screwed over by a 'leading'
record label a few years back, however anyone know where
they are now? contact details? wouldn't mind getting in
touch.

Just been going thru some of their old 12"s - true unsung
heroes of IDM - they started it all for me back in 1991/2
along with Black Dog, Irdial, Evolution, A.R.T etc. in the
underground treasure trove that was Fat Cat Records.

sigh, memories...

Under a pillow.

B12 'Electro Soma' 4ever!

They released some stuff about 4 years back. I've been
wondering what they've been up to as well. I think they've
exited from things by the looks of it.

davidjatt,

You know Fat Cat? The mecca of techno (r.i.p). It was a sad
thing when Fat Cat died.

ah, Fat Cat was my saturday. Monmouth Street then Earlham
St. the cupboard sized, but stylish shop. but fantastically
enthusiastic staff, amazing stock. couldn't believe it when
it shut... sad day indeed.

You talking about Fat Cat in Convent Garden right? You know
at Neals Yard?

B12 is great and were very important in the early years!
Electro-soma is also an album of the warp's artificial
intelligence-serie. It is in the same style as autechre's
incunabula. I'm pretty sure the early works of autechre is
inspired by B12. For more info:

I saw B12 a few years ago on a Warp night in Copenhagen. I
must say they did really well, but on CD they totally suck.

davidjatt,

Yeah sad that those times have gone. They were good times,
innocent times really. So much to take on these days.
