a new series of 'classic albums' starts tonight, the 1st of
focusing on dark side of the moon by pinkus floydus. i think
its on at some ridulous time like 12.40am. prolly worth a
watch if you're around at the time. [ITV1]

interesting

i once viewed an MTV documentary back in 1997 that discussed
the relationship between Dark Side of the Moon and Wizard of
Oz. supposedly when the album is initiated at a specific
part in the film somewhere in the beginning, there is a
syncopation between the lyrics in Dark Side of the Moon and
the dialogue of Wizard of Oz.

i like these band docu's the sometimes clear up all those
questions you've always wondered about why this/or that
happened.

and believe it or not pachi i've heard ab00t that connection
with the WIZ.....seems VERY unlikely, strange rumor!

I love that show Classic Albums... it's what helped get me
into Steely Dan... saw the episode about Aja, and bought
it... if anyone cares... :)

Yeah, those shows are great, I saw the VH1 show for Who's
Next not too long ago. I'd love to hang around in one of
those studios. But not with smelly old over the hill rock
bands.

it happens all the time, just put on a random cd on and turn
the television to a random channel and watch it "match" to
the music..

Suge Knight= scariest muthafucka around. I'm probably going
to die because of this post, actually. Hold me over a 20th
story balcony like I'm Vanilla Ice.

nod, definitely not... I didn't know it, but they said that
their main source of funding was from a big drug dealer
who's in jail... somebody Harris or something I think...
Harry-o they called him... not very legal really... and yes,
it was dangerous as hell... a lot of that was probably just
image though... the movie seemed to portray that idea, to me
anyways... it was an interesting watch though... and
apparently Death Row is still under investigation by the FBI
or soemthing... heh...

isn't Shuge(?) Knight in jail, for something ..... i lost
track of his latest BEEF.

but yea, i imagine some of it was for image, but i dunno
it's one of those things where i can also imagine some peepz
packing HEAT - former gang bangers......iaiaiaia

it makes for an interesting program tho. i wonder how Dr Dre
got involved with all that, he doesn't seem the gang banging
type, but maybe thats the only choice he had to get his
music out there? who knows

well, actually shuge is out now... unless he's in again for
something else...

but the movie started right back to the NWA days of Dr.
Dre... apprently he wasn't getting his deserved amout of
money or something, and him and Easy E had some kind of
disagreement or something... so he left... Apparently this
Harris guy wanted to start an entertainment business, and he
saw Shuge and liked what he saw... I forget exactly how Dre
got involved, but I guess shuge and them wanted him for his
production skills and such...

vh1 is much more interesting than mtv, being that vh1 will
actually give history behind the artist(s) in a project or
band (behind the music) and they do good movies about bands.

David Gilmour is the best guitarist around imo... his solo's
are just so perfect... and, I especially like the guitar
work on The Division Bell... really clean and concise, yet
full of emotion...
