this has been out for a week or two, and i keep expecting
somebody to post about it but it's always another draft 7.30
topic. anyways, my thoughts on the album are as follows
(although i haven't listened to it since i first heard it,
my memory may fail me).

fairly disappointing. it started out with the sound of a
tuning orchestra...i felt it was pretty cheesy. the next
two tracks were decent, but then it progressed (this may be
out of order) into richard devine's signature style. except
that richard devine really does it better himself.
somewhere in the mix was a long, drawn out stringy piece
that was pretty weak melody wise (all in all, before this
release, i was all right with lex's melodies in general).

he seems to be getting better technically...but i don't
really care. not for me.

was wondering about this release - although what do you mean
by "richard devine" signature style ..

Yeah i like this release but i feel its a bit weak melody
wise compared to his old stuff. Eventho i love the more
technical Otto Von Shirach'ish style i feel he is loosing
some of what made his music special before .

Um, I haven't heard any other Lexaunculpts stuff, but this
is a fantastic release imo. I did start a topic about it,
but very few replied. The rythms are amazing, the
soundscapes are beautiful and I was very impressed by the
album.

I heard the clips at planet mu.... and wasn't as impressed
as I thought I'd be. However, I really like
"plus and minus miss c bug" by lexaunculpt and also their
internet site visual/audio art. ..And I like their fun
little metroid remix.

Lexaunculpt and Bit meddler seem like people with equal
poplularity as the best of their rivals, but they hardly
release anything?

I found it on soulseek one day. I just looked in my folder
and it's gone.. I must have deleted it when I put it on an
album. I bet you can email lexaunculpt and request it? I
think they provide their email at their site...

I just looked up "lexaunculpt" alone... I doubt the title
wouldn't have at least that name in it.

heh heh, I just really like the melody of that metroid tune.
He added fairly minimal drums. However they added to it as
opposed to subtracted I think.

Now, plus and minus miss c-bug, THAT is something really
worth listening to.

by richard devine's signature style i was basically
referring to lipswitch. i guess i forget he has other
releases...anyways, he's got this defined style of making
beats..he doesn't really play the melody game.
