rare I know, but possible?

Are there any films out there that are actually better than
the book?

I hear that Fight Club and The Green Mile are pretty good
adaptations.

Fight Club and The Green Mile are about on par with each
other. Chopper the film is much better than the book IMO...
there's too many to think of.

the stand by steven king is the same in the book and the
movie. they made it six hours long so they could fit
everything into it. i luv that book.

Yeah, but the film is still wicked.

BTW, I just found out Roald Dahl was accused of
anti-semitism. Hmmm.

The ten commandments is way better than the book it was
based on. It cut out all the shit and just got straight on
with the action.

that film was designed to watch stoned -- I watched it
stoned first time I ever saw it and the atmosphere was
fantastic... needless to say, the acting is pretty terrible!
:D BUT, the dude from quantum leap is in it.

Always a bonus! Dean Stockwell is a pretty good actor really
(anyone who's been in Blue Velvet automatically commands
more respect).

Jeez, I really can't think of any more....
