i'm a little curious about some of his works.

i've only seen Pi a couple times, but i don't think i've
"digested" it yet. i'm thinking about getting the DVD.

how many of y'all have seen Requiem For A Dream? i just now
realized that he directed that =P

anyway, i'm interested in seeing that one as well.

Requiem for a dream is DISTURBING!! I did not enjoy it at
all... I don't know, it was too blunt and depressing for
me... plus, I watched it one time when I was kinda down and
sad, so that didn't help...

He's supposedly set to direct (with co-writing credit)
"Batman: Year One" last I heard news about him...

Both films are decent efforts...not the work of genius some
people would make out, but not bad at all.

The Batman film he was supposed to be doing is no more as WB
have decided to extend the existing franchise. :(

That was the last I heard anyway

i own both DVD's Pi and Req......the latter i recommend
seeing when you're in the right frame of mind.

it's rather depressing and disturbing, and best seen when
you're in a GOOD mood, cos it's a downer. it's an excellent
film tho.

i heard the rumor about batMON as well.......i hope it still
is happening!

Requiem was totally harrowing - for about a week after I saw
it I was pretty much traumatised by the whole experience..
It was way too much for me.

Anyone curious about trying smack should be made to watch
that film..

requiem for a dream is over-rated -- it's too melodramatic
and devicive to really succeed. And Pi kinda slips down a
few rungs of the ladder in the latter stages too.

I liked the bit of requiem concerning the mother's
addiction. That's it, the other storyline was hammy and not
at all convincing. Pi was great though.

I agree - the mother's descent into madness was good - my
wife's ma, pa, and 2 of her sisters (and their partners) are
addicted to pain-killers / diet pills. they're a mess.

at our best buy here (daytona beach) you can get Requiem and
Pi in a bundle on DVD for $15. If only I didn't already own
Pi....

darren aronofsky is my fav. director (well next to david
fincher) the man is a genius, and he's from brooklyn (that
doesnt matter for shit)

pi is a great movie but most people are on its dick causa
the "heavy hitter's" who did the soundtrack - the soundtrack
is cool but i wouldnt suck my own dick over it - the movie
is far better w/o some of the housey non-sense

requiem for a dream is a different game entirely - its a
fascinating movie - and IF you see it PLEASE see the unrated
version - not the edited one - ive got them both on DVD and
they love being on my shelf or in the spinny device

darren is a good man - with a good camera sense

weeeeeeee

How many films has this knob made anyway? 2? Some discussion
this is going to be.

"Oh, I like pi better than requiem"

"Oh, I like requuiem better than pi"

"Oh, I like both of them just the same."

knob - great word

better than someone saying

"i saw pi cause aphex twin was on the soundtrack"

dumb dick riders
