ATP - Tatamax

I know that some of you were lucky enough to make it out to
ATP this year. So I was wondering...

Did anyone actually get to see Tatamax perform while they
were there? And if so, is it anyone we already know using a
pseudo name or is it actually someone new to SKAM?

I' really curious, because they are at present the best new
that I've heard in I can't remember how long.

Thanks for any info!

you've mentioned tatamax 3rice, but I havn't heard it.
Sounds interesting if you said it's like that weird computer
gurgle glitch cheeping of telefon tel aviv. Is there a link?

I have the cassete, and I saw the mention from the ATP
roster about their being from Wales, but it seems rather
suspect.

"Also featured on the smak series, tatamax are originally
from wales, at least that is what we have deduced from the
post marks on the envelopes in which their music arrives at
the skam office. The fact is we’ve had no direct contact
with these guys cos they don’t believe in phones or email.
We just exchange hand written notes occasionally. They told
us they wanted to play so we let em. It’ll be nice to
finally meet them. "

That I just don't buy. So that's why I wanted to know if
anyone has seen them with their own two eyes.

I see online that they've played a lot of gigs. But there's
nobody that I've talked to that's ever actually seen them.

hey, ya I saw them at atp. We call em the "tittyfest" cause
they were actually quite good live. They played with some
kind of masks over there faces sitting down on the floor
hiding behind there computers. There computers looked to be
hiding in side some kind of box type deal they made for
them, so you couldn't tell what they were using. Got
pictures of them actually or as much as they would let you
see of them! Hope this helps some.

Thanks a lot TRB I sent you an email for the photos, can't
wait to see them!

And thanks too qrter but I already have the tape!

Did anyone get to record their set?

I know at this point everyone must be tired of seeing this
thread... But I can't help it! I'm obsessed with these guys!
(suddenly feels weird )

But I really got to know since I know that some of the guys
on this board were there at ATP.

Did anyone there get a recording of their set?

... On a side note if anyone's interested, I recorded an
Underworld show a few months back on their mini tour. Let me
know if you'd like it.

Should I get that tape? Why a feakin... tape?? It's
like telefon tel aviv? Is the whole "album", or tape, or
whatever it is, complex/intricate... or what?

I highly recommend the tape - It's awesome to say the least
(if it's the kind of thing you're in to).

But it's not like telefon at all, I was just making comment
to the point that some of the effects / processing methods
seem similar. But their sounds are on completely different
ends of the spectrum.

hate awesome music.
I wrote it down. Did you ever get chulk's pre- album. I
mention this because I think I saw you posting at tefosav?
It's really great.
