i love it but a lot here think its too poppy or something
is fucking PHAT as fuck though, i reckon. with lurvely drums
and synthlines and .. and this is the key.. OVER-cheezy
vocals that couldn´t be more 80´s. Its like the ultimate
Keth chegwins Top of the Pops number 1 that never was!.
excellent.

that track from 26 mixes you mean? Oh my GOD, that track is
fucking lame... it's so crap... I could make a better song
then that, so why aren't I signed to rephlex huh?

The fact that is any one else other than Aphex attempted to
get away with it they would be shit upon by everyone. It is
a terrible track...not even worth the space on the plastic
disk it takes up.

everything... it's a 2nd rate, no 3rd rate attempt at a good
piece of electronic music... come on... the stupid melody,
the lame ass vocals, which aren't even good mind you... it's
CRAP!!!!!

stupid melody? too simple for ya or something? its a fuckimg
joke track thats meant to have crappy, 80s lyrics cos the
whole tackiness is offset by the stupendous fucking PHAT
bassline. Do you not get it, like? Its a typical Aphex thing
to do. its´s doing to the genre what Squarepusher did to
garage with Red Hot Car without the drilly bits...

christ on a bike!

If I was to throw shit all over a room and tried to submit
it to a moder art gallery I would be laughed at...if Damien
Hurst did it, well it would be the greatest example of
expressionist art ever...same thing here.

it's not lame at all. it's....good cheese!
also, check out Cylob's "Living In The 1980's".

but see, I don't really like "joke" tracks... I don't like
crappy lyrics, or tackiness, and ESPECIALLY if it's
planned...

Squarepusher's red hot car might have been a spoof type
thing, but it sounded excellent... it's a kick ass track...
this DMX remix is not imo...

Phresh.. exactly!
some folks obviously read the fucking tabloid rags and see
certain art like Hurst and this track, just on the surface,
like those bandwagon crappy wankmags

Their fucking loss, the rest of us can enjoy it

"especially if its planned"? Fair enough i suppose. I agree
that forced tackiness CAN be absoulte shit but, anyhow, i
think it works in this case

Anyone remember when the "tabloid rags" submitted a childs
painting into the Turner prize competition where it was
shortlisted but then disqualified once they found out a
child had done it?

And they say IDM isn't elitist bullshit :D
