Isn't day to day living more important than the odd IDM gig?
After all, its only geeks noddin their heads behind
computers.

Just think of what you'd leave behind; barbies, Sheilas,
surfing, beaches, Fosters, koalas and kangers. Personally I
wouldn't give a XXXX for the UK.

Why are you proud to be British?

And I would move to Russian only its not socialist either.
That argument became even more redundant by 1989 mate.

OK, I'm thinking about it but I still can't quite figure it
out. You are proud because you were born in Britain rather
than say, Africa or Thailand. In essence you are proud
because by chance and circumstance your parents remained in
the UK when they made you and birthed you.

That is not actually an achievement; its just something that
happened. How can you be proud of something that happened?

Wot, think about blind unquestioning loyalty? Only to
Liverpool FC for me, and from some on here to Ae, LOL...for
my own part, I'm English, and hate the word British for all
I'm worth...only worthwhile thing we did to make up for
colonising the world was a little campaign in the early
forties...

Hanal - perhaps you can help me with something that has
always bothered me..

Why are Mancunians so interested in street fighting / random
violence?

Admittedly it is a problem in many towns in UK but
Manchester always seemed paticularly lairy. Why?

manchester is a really good place to be at the moment. but
you should consdier whether you'd be happy back here.
sometimes i wish i was elsewhere but i think that all i know
is here in this country and what i've got herre makes me
happy.

do what makes you happy. not always easy to do but
ultimately the best option.

hanal ... you´re mainly missing the IDM scene plus its
expensive?

i think you should look at
1) the local idm scene
2) your´re own financial situation

i.e. really examine the local scene and how you perceive
it first before deciding on any huge moves. Be prudent mate
and really have an open mind. i bet you´ll discover great
IDM nights out and a fucking class lifestyle with less
expenditure. I HAD to do that here with this crappy job i
have and i love it

theres quite a few cheap electronica nights on in manchester
now, not a huge amount but things are moving on since
pellicanneck got a good hold on the market over here,

theres also a lot happening in birmingham which isn't too
far away.

Amusingly, literally ten minutes after I posted that it
started thundering. It still is. I love our unpredictable
weather.

Ha ha since starting this post it has stopped thundering and
is now raining. See what I mean?

Keys: Re: living cheaply. I know what you mean, for the last
two weeks I've been dead skint (literally had less cash than
if I was signing on) and it's not so bad. Now I've been paid
I'm going to try to continue like that and not spend so
much.

Music on itself is not enough reason to move, I think.
If you miss your mates and all that, we're talking about
diferent things.

You should consider every aspect of live, and if you come to
the conclusion that moving to the UK is the thing to do, go
ahead then.
