i listened to drukqs today again, and somehow i started to
think about this whole mp3-player thing...

so,
-first thing is he said that there were []pusher tracks on
it, too. why didn't he made anything about it...
-do you really think someone who worked a few years on music
would let his work in a plane ?
-i don't know which airline he used... but i don't think
they wouldn't find it back...
-he said that he had about, em wait, 300 tracks ?? i don't
think he would have made so much without a release...
-if YOU would lose your mp3 player with your stuff, would
you make an album, where there are about 6 (?) long songs,
the rest piano, and some short bits of music (bit 4 is
ridiculous)

conclusion: he's talking bullshit

he obviously didn't find every thing worth enough to
release. same thing why he didn't release ab5.

one thing you must learn about richard d james is not to
believe everything that comes out of his mouth.

people lose music/lyrics/notes all the time... you have to
remember, these "IDM Superstars" are only human like you and
i.

mp3 story could be real, could be false. cool tale anyway.

it is a cool story though, and i think if it is true, it
makes a good deal of sense for drukqs to be as varied as it
is.

i think its blatant bullshit! i figured that out a long time
ago. The guy is a PR guru.

he said that shit so there wud be no pressure on drukqs as a
'big thing'. Mike P said in an interview that RDJ is finding
it hard to make music, that was in around 2000. so basically
drukqs was pretty much everything that RDJ made that was
decent enough 2 release betwene windowlicker and present
time....

i've got that legendary mp3 player right here in my
hands, i'm listening to it right now.
i just never had the heart to listen to the tracks, so i
just deleted them all..

yeah hey, lets list the RDJ bullshit rumors. some of them
are pretty funny.. like:
1. i remember hearing that he only slept 3 hours a day in
some kind of sleep deprivation chamber.

2. we know the armored car/tank thing is true but wasn't
there some rumors floating around as to how he actually got
it?

anyone??

losing the mp3's is true, but loads of them are just playing
around/different versions of other tracks
probably....Richard is good at playing the media game as a
few of his friends write for musik, NME etc. I'm not saying
it's contrived just fun. Most freelance music journalists
have to fight against others to get preference, there's
nothing wrong with a bit of creative liscence. Take it with
a bit of salt and be entertained, that's it really.

If he says something entertaining I immediately assume it's
bullshit.

Being fun at the expense of your credibility.

It probably is! It's fun to read but that's another form of
comunication...be it fact or not.

Richards been writing music for so many goddamn years, he
must have upwards of 10 gigs for just his own mp3's. How
could the fucker NOT have thousands of songs?

Yeah man I've only been going like 7 years and I have like
4000 songs (moslty unfinished but still) on my HDD

that sleep depravation thing probably comes from an
interview where he said when he is working on his music, he
usually only gets 3 hours of sleep a night. nothing about a
sleep depravation chamber though
