A RIDDLE THAT'LL KILL YOUR BRAIN!

There are three words in the English language that end in
"gry".
ONE is angry and the other is hungry. EveryONE knows what
the
third ONE means and what it stands for. EveryONE uses them
everyday,
and if you listened very carefully, I've given you the third
word.

What is it?

_______gry?

I don't know the answer here, please help me!

The secret here is that the real question is "There are only
three words in the English language. What is the third
word?" That is, there are only three words in the phrase
"the English language". The third word is "language", which
is indeed something we use every day. The first two words
are "the" and "English".

The third word in the English language is, of course,
language, which is certainly something we use every
day.

Told you...

i don't know why you'd let a riddle kill your brain

in general riddles are known to be plays on words that make
you feel stupid at the end.

so who gives a shit

offline uzim on 2003-04-28 11:04 [#00674317]
Points: 17716 Status: Lurker

but the way Co-existence phrased it, it WAS wrong.

· there aren't THREE words in the english language that end
in ~gry.
· the way the question was asked, the last word HAD to end
in ~gry, as well as the two others - which is not the case.

there is no trick, it is just plain wrong... (i'm not
frustrated because i didn't find it, i didn't even bother
searching)

why bother making up a riddle like that?

offline rockenjohnny from champagne socialism (Australia) on 2003-04-28 11:07 [#00674319]

gry = 3 letter abbreviation for grey

as blu is to blue
yel is to yellow

therefore gry means what it stands for :)

thats my guess

with it!

Pfft, the answer isn't fucking language! That would mean
that hungry and angry are part of the phrase 'the English
language'.

offline The_Funkmaster from St. John's (Canada) on 2003-04-28 11:22 [#00674345]

You've fucked that one up. It's: What gets wet whilst you
get dry? And it's stupid, there are plenty of answers.
