I see this thread getting, at most, about 4 replies then sinking to the 3000-3500 rung on the archival ladder..
anyway.. has anyone seen/heard anything about this.. it's supposed to be coming out today/tomorrow.. but I've yet to see one promotion for it.. even the label (virgin) website has nothing on it.. I know that there is a full album to be relased though because I've heard pieces of each track..
by the way, rza toured europe throughout 2001/2 and recorded tracks w/ various singers/mcs from the different countries he visited..
also, it turns out he has recorded many tracks with Bono, Bjork and (?!?!)Dido.. I have no idea what's going to happen w/ those

hehe you actually thought this would get 4 responses? i'll try to make that happen for you without submitting this three times.
i heard about this, it's too bad it won't be released in america. it sounds fun and i like hearing hip-hop from other countries. check out wu-tang dynasty (www.w00t.nl i believe) for mp3's (some full, some clips) unless you want to buy an import.
RE: bono - didn't happen. u2 approached rza about producing for them back in 1997 but nothing came of it.
RE: bjork - they collaborated on a song together back around 1997 as well (check the "about" section on bjork.com for description) but it was apparently never finished and remains unreleased. and no i don't mean the "bachelorette" remix.
RE: dido - this song was kept from the world according to rza, probably cos dido wants it for her album instead. i can't wait to hear this song.
there were also (supposedly) songs recorded for this album with lauryn hill and nas.

for those who don't check the section of bjork.com, it was a full-on wu-tang clan song featuring bjork.. it even had a symphony or string quartet

I got this information from recent wu-fam addition Cilvaringz
he recorded 2 tracks with bono.. 3 w/ bjork (with, what she called "wu-people".. I think timbo king was one of them).. that is excluding the bachelorette remix..
apparently dido was a big wu-tang fan and she listened to "enter the 36" and "only built..." during the recording of her album.. and they recorded a total of EIGHT tracks together.. none of which are to appear on the album..
I didnt know that it was a uk-only release.. I've had a few of the clips for awhile.. he's still very inconsistent w/ his

and I'm dying to hear the bono/bjork stuff .. it might be released in a box-set 'wu-tang (36 chambers)' 10 year anniversary release.. though I highly doubt it
titsworth let's petition bjorks label to get these gems available

yup
xaview naidoo is a singer though? I dropped my jaw when I heard his song though.. it was a completely sappy love song retread. .. it was well done though.. I'd expected to hear a more experimental sound from rza when touring europe though

He also appeared on a remix of Texas song along with Method Man. As far as I know it's only available on Texas' Greatest Hits compilation, it's not too shabby, but not the type of thing I would usually admit.

Texas featuring Wu-Tang Clan* "Say What You Want (RZA Remix)"
I love the beat for that.
*meaning RZA, who produced the remix, and Method Man, who provides a few weak, sing-songy verses. That's only 2 of the 9 members but oh well.

eh so let's talk about the rza! not to put down his classic early 90s work but my fave rza production (and lyrical) era has been 96-98 when he started getting more musical rather than just raw sampling and looping. he really is a very smart and creative musician. i hope he doesn't go too off the deep end imitating g-funk or miami sound or whatever he's doing right now outside of the W.A.R.

If he put his music on zebox and asked for peoples opinions on here I guarantee he would be hard pushed to find people ho would compliment him highly on his skills.

No, even from the people who are into hip hop. He changed the face of hip hop, stagnated, then went shit.

i heard, i'm not sure if it's true, but i haven't heard contrary...that the rza produced bjork's "homogenic" album, in it's entirety. i like the idea of this being true, but i can't back it up...someone prove me right or wrong...
i love that album, it's so different...wish i could find more music like that...any suggestions?

well, what the deal, theo himself? again, i emailed you from my hotmail account and haven't received a reply...
any of you UK'ers buy this album? it might actually be pretty good. don't knock it till you try it, as they say. RZA recorded these tracks over a span of about 8 years and spent at least 2 years handpicking vocalists for his music.
