If there are any albums you think don't get the attention
they deserve, and/or deserve more credit than they have been
given, post them here in this thread.

I'll be the first to list an album:
Chris Vrenna - American mcGee's Alice, original music score

ok now let's hear it from you!

some artists, that have done several good albums:

placebo,
jam & spoon (and different projects of theirs).
Perhaps William Orbit... I don't see so many people mention
him.

I can't stress enough how much I love these guys. They're my
long lost brothers and the band I wish I could be in
(excluding The Beatles). Tru luv!

You should speak more ofthen of these boys, as they seem not
to be as famous as they deserve. I, for example, still can't
put them in context with songs/albums or anything =/

I think your affection for the band is amazing, and
admireable.
I hope I grow to love certain artists as much as you
obviously do.
thanks for lighting up the board. =)

ermm....i hear the nu lupus yonderboy ep is a joy to the
ears (http://utrophia.net/lupusyonderboy.html)

burp.

but the tetsu inoue, carl stone album on the cycling74 label
is very interesting, much zoviet france is really good and
anything by augustus pablo is generally pant wettingly
bargdant.

i fucking loved this game, and i loved the music, but never
knew there was a soundtrack for it. this is fucking sweet.

Omg, someone else loved that game like I did! I fucking
lived and breathed that game too! Glad someone else feels
the same about it!
I so wish that American mcGee get his team together again
and do "the Wizard of Oz" like he did Alice!
Anyway I kinda bumped into that soundtrack when I was on
holiday in Orlando, and spotted it there in a virgin
megastore. I couldn't believe what I was seeing really.
really cool design too btw.
My guess is you can also order it online.

the greated Aphex releases ever.

thanks, glad to know there are more ppl who think so.

Also DNTEL's "Life is full of possibilites" is underrated.
Not the vocals as much as the music itself.

really, well what do they sound like?
I have often times ran into a record of theirs and ponder on
whether I should buy it or not

they sound very strange...

here's an example...

try to imagine oval's kinda soothing ambient skip cd stuff
with 70's disco strings and a throbbing bass drum with
scritchy rhythmic sequences and really bubblegum-ish
melodies.

it's VERY awesome!!!

i find it kind of HAHA that a lot of Warp stuff is being
listed.. my guess is that everything on Warp gets enough
attention, at least in mainstream opposed to electronic
(excluding fluff dance/trance whatever) context.

also, OK Computer, yeah..
