quite possibly the BEST song on Geogaddi?

(this might be a good time to take a break from all the
autechre/draft 7.30 threads *cough*it's overrated and
sloppy)

I've had this album for a few months.. and I've always liked
it.. but now I'm really starting to get into it.. and
starting to love it.. in fact, we're thinking of making this
a fully-committed relationsh-.. ehhmm .. what do you think?

like most songs on geogaddi, it is very nice.

sometimes a favorite sometimes not. depends on the mood i
suppose.

it...it's ONE of the best longplayers

geoaddi's a grower, i like it more that 'music has the
right' at the moment
julie and candy is my personal favourate close second is
sunshine recorder

yeah gyroscope is the shit too..

then there's 1969 and you could feel the sky.. and the devil
is in the details .. or as I like to call it "overand 2"

I LOVE Boards of Canada... by far my fav music out of
anything. :)

i notice whenever there's a thread about anyone be it ae,
snares or aphex someone will always say there over-rated

not so with boards of canada.....

(watch someone post it to piss me off)

Dawn Chorus is the best track on Geogaddi IMO.

however, is the best!

i know some people who think theyre boring, but the
arguments about boc never seem to arrive. its actually quite
nice having conversations without some guy arguing just in
spite, for self satisfactory purposes.

but im sure boc isnt void of these arguments.

-WAITS FOR IT

redpont

hehe i honestly dont know anyone that doesnt like them,
maybe i've not met one yet, but anyone who i play it to all
say the same thing, that it reminds them of something they
cant put there finger on, i think it's childhood
dreams/nightmares

mm, yeh. i have friends who arent into electronic much, but
still like boc.

one of those types of artists i guess.

Ugh, completely disagree.. I find Julie and Candy pretty
boring and uncreative actually. It's pleasant enough but
should be an interlude, if anything. Man it almost gets on
my nerves becuase it's so repetetive without enough good
substance to justify the repetition. I much prefer Sunshine
Recorder.

hmmm, i dont think boc is music you judge on an individual
track, you listen to it as a whole

1969 is my favorite (pretty amazing chorus, like the vocoded
vocals and flutes and everything) and I like Julie and Candy
(nice drums build-up)

Some of the in-between tracks piss me off, though.

live. it's a strange feeling... that song.

theo tries to hard. he tries to make it seem like he knows
everything about music, when he obviously doesn't.

;E

you could feel the sky will always be one of my favourites.
i only really like the first minute of julie and candy.

i know, i was just adding. i'm sure he knows some things
about music.

if i were to dis him i'd do it in a less cheap way, like
saying that if he was secretly a musician, he'd probably be
moby.

My favorite BoC album would prolly be Twoism. Geogaddi is
good, but not the best. I do need to listen to it again
though...

now I LOVE IT!!

The track Twosim, and Seeya Later are both awesome!!

however, I must say that Geogaddi is my favorite BoC... it
just takes everything they've done up to that point and
improves on it... amazing stuff!

I think twoism and hi scores have some weak tracks, they
have some awesome stuff too but mhtrtc, iabpoitc and
geogaddi are all consistently good and I seem to prefer
theyre newer material rather than the old.

I don't know man... I have to say I think Twoism is pretty
solid... Hi Scores on the other hand, well I only heard it a
couple times, but I remember finding a few of the middle
tracks kinda weak... Hi SCores and Everything You Do is a
Balloon are both killer though!

Amber is AE's blandest album imo...
My fav BoC track is the unnamed last track on the ATP
bootleg... close second is prolly Gyroscope
