raissings out of the cake.

of life , the people need them.

um, you have christian holidays on may 1st and may 2nd as
well? cuz we celebrate is as a socialist holiday - day of
the working class (or something) - i don't really care what
kind of holiday is it as long as it means i get to stay at
home 8-)

Yeah on first may it is tradition to go out on the street to
protest on whatever you feel about.
We also have this thing in 30th april where we start a big
fire and everybody watch it + there is fireworks , its
called Valborgsmässo afton.
Valborg was some german saint but the whole thing is about
celebrating the arival of spring.
I loved it as a kid , running around playing with fire
crackers and stuff , eating cotton candy =)

haha, that's funny actually...we also make big fires on that
day (not sure wether it is april 30th or may 1st) - arrival
of spring in may? that's a bit late isn't it? :)

Really ? I thought it was a swedish thing.
Whats it called in your language ?

Yeah im starting to feel a bit springy alredy .
But a certain spring sign is actually when it starts to
smell like dogshit everywhere outside. You know its spring
when all the dogshit has been defrozen haha!. What hides in
the snow is revealed.

i don't think we make those big fires for another thing - i
alwways thought it had something to do with celebrating the
day of the working class which is on the same day. actually
the fire is made the same night at the same place where
working people gather to celebrate the "day of work" (even
tho it's a work free day hehe).

i'll look into it...you got me interested now. but im also
sure we celebrate the arrival of spring in march
already...the smell isn't here yet tho :)
