i thought the last few episodes right before and leading up to leland being caught were really good... but it does seem to lose its purpose after that... alot of distracting plot points leading AWAY from the black lodge
i heard an interview with the guy that played big ed, he was mad lynch cut all the ed and nadine scenes from fwwm... it made me laugh, because he obviously doesnt get what the storyline IS... and he's even IN the stinkin thing!!!
hehe

ed and nadine's whole bit was one of the funniest part of twin peaks in my opinion. i got a kick out of all of his facial expressions anyhow. pretty much all there was to look forward to during season 2, because i really couldn't have given less of a fuck about josie and all of her bullshit.

honestly i hope that never happens. the show was such a mess at the end of it all that any attempt to string it back together after lynch let it go would be embarassing. then again, it IS david lynch, so who knows?

i dont get it...
people talk about his stuff like its an incoherent mess. it makes perfect sense to me... there are just some unanswered questions. once again, the last episode only left me with revitalised faith in the twin peaks storyline, and wanting MORE!!!!!

well i'm not talking about lynch's stuff. he didn't write any of the episodes that i thought ruined the story line.

but i fail to see how delving into the black lodge could be considered ruining the story, when that IS the story.

the black lodge is fine, i am referring to all of the side bits that were going on. i really lost it for a lot of the characters the further the show went on.

i don't know what they were thinking with audrey's transformation either. she was completely out of character towards the end.
honestly i thought ben horne's psychotic episodes were pretty stupid though. the civil war? dumb.

yeah, THAT sucked... but i like the him being donna's dad thing... i like him becoming a good person. him finding inner peace. i DO really like seeing that, if for no other reason than he is a genuinely likable character underneath it all.

I stand by my contention that the first season of Twin Peaks was the best single season of television ever. What I think is often overlooked is it's influence. It spawned the more middle-america friendly clone (but not really even close to a clone) "Northern Exposure" and, I think, paved the way for another amazing television show, "The X-Files". But does Twin Peaks still have influence??
I loved hard of hearing and, consequenlty, constantly loud-talking Gordon Cole (played by Lynch).
