anyone heard of this???

i bought it yesterday cos i was intriuged (correct
spelling?) by the artwork on the front of it.
also, since it was on fatcat (the same label as mum), i
thought it would be quite interesting.

its some straaaaange shit.

theres sounds of people leaving their house and getting into
their car and stuff...whilst violins play in the
background.

i think i kinda like it though...its quite hypnotic in a
weird way.

set fire to flames is another icestuous side-project of
montreal's own godspeed you! black emperor. fat cat, i
reckon, has some sort of a distribution deal for releasing
this record in europe. it originally came out on alien8.
other gybe projects you may have heard of are a silver mt.
zion and fly pan am.

god i love it so much

seems like you've got the 2001 album 'sings reign
rebuilder'?... i've got it on double vinyl, came with a 24
page 7" booklet with all those photographs... so
beautiful... and the music can't be put into words. i love
it.

they have just also released a double album which i will get
as soon as i move to iceland.
