i don't think that the entire series was composed of said "clip shows" however i do feel that the producers and writers relied heavily on such programming tactics. i think "leave it to beaver" (late fifties/early sixties as far as i recall) was the first to use the montage effect on the series finale of that paticular show. later "i love lucy" and others followed with the technique to "enhance" their respective programmes. |

I loved that episode where that bitch who got her kit of in some films later on ( the tall curly haired goofy looking one ) became addicted to pro-plus. It was a harrowing tale and it taught me all i need to know about drug addiction. Luckily she came through her addiction hell just as the end credits rolled and everyone was happy. I have never touched drugs because of saved by the bell and it could well have saved my life. |
