dunno if any of you played HL, but the follow up is going
to be shown @ E3, and the game will ship this year.

I never played, but everyone i know did, so it's big news on
internet dork hideouts that I frequent.

Half Life 2

Damned database error... can't see the screen shot.

I played through the first one and didn't care for it, but I
am curious about the sequel.

they might have pulled the screenshots as they were leaked
early.

The first game was great...
very good game... wish there would be more good games, and
less CRAp.
I usually play older games, especially thoose
Point/and/click-adventure games...

taking into account the huge expectancy level of this game,
i can only predict a huge letdown for fans of the first
game.

like with Tiberian Sun? I'm sure they'd restart the design
if they thought it would be shit.

is this for real? is there a tentative release date?

I hope they do that thing where u can play it from 3
different perspectives.. the security guard was pushing it a
bit but it was actually still real cool

wow, so much cool music releases last year (continuing on
fine form this year) and now a whole heap of quality games,

except the unreal one, which I'm told is shite.

Geesh.. No wonder it's taking so long! I knew Valve was up
to something. I hope it makes it's way to Xbox - My
computer could barely handle the first one.

save for blood/duke nukem 3d and, of course, quake (which
was more of an experiment.. one that turned out to be much
more of a valuable multiplayer experience.. and one that was
more valued for technical reasons.. ie its revolutionary
engine.. which was subsequently employed by many games/game
companies) half-life has to be one of the top 2 or 3 best
first-person shooters.. it was so fully developed and ..
like I said the intertwining of the three different
viewpoints was a very clever addition ..

by the way.. to this day, I have yet to play
counter-strike.. I have all three half-life episodes.. but
not that one.. mainly because I was so die-hard quake/3
