Time to show off your new Ikea dining table. You can invite
6 present-day musical figures round for dinner, drinks, and
miscellaneous social repartee. Who's it gonna be?

I would invite:
Richard D. James
Jack White
Brody Armstrong
Avril Lavigne
Efrim Menuck
Britney Spears

Should make for interesting conversation...

Sherilyn Fenn
Billy Corgan

oops i meant Saul Williams (originally i had written Gift Of
Gab)

anyway, i just think those 6 would have an interesting
conversation in these modern times. Saul and M1 are so
different in approach; I'd love to be a fly on the wall for
that conversation.

sounds boring; autechre would just talk to each other about
whatever they talk about, thom would try to talk to autechre
and get mostly snubbed, jack would try to talk to thom and
get mostly snubbed as well. madonna would want to leave cos
she knows no one likes her. bootsy would want to leave cos
he'd be bored out of his skull.

trent reznor [for conflict]
michael stipe [just to talk about automatic for the people]

I think they would just get along horribly politely. You
need to throw someone unexpected into the mix.

reznor wouldn't be much conflict; he'd be a wallflower. he'd
talk to bono and maynard in private, MIGHT talk to dylan
since he put him on the natural born killers soundtrack and
is probably a fan, but he hates michael stipe and presumably
the lemonheads, and doesn't have much to say in general
(trent's not much of a speaker, doesn't have a strong
personality either) so he prolly wouldn't participate in any
group discussion.

bono and de la rocha, nice! that could potentially be an
interesting clash, though didn't RATM used to open for U2?
they must not be that ideologically opposed. now, bono and
m1 or stic.man would be interesting. or bono and paris.
