usually i'd just let something like this go but it's just too amusing how people are totally distorting what i said. 1) the human body is beautiful, especially women's bodies (and yes, naked) 2) the thread was about posting pictures of yourself 3) i'm feminist in some ways (as far as equal rights and power goes; nothing extreme) 4) i think the media are pigs and are to blame for how fucked up society is 5) i see girls (yes, 18 is still a girl) as being in a reaaaaal tough situation in society right now (thanks to britney and internet porn, among other things) 6) i don't take myself too seriously, some of you should know that by now 7) i take giving advice seriously 8) i often give advice to people who don't want it, don't understand it, don't even try to understand it 9) i wouldn't have said anything about those pics if she weren't still a n00b and we had seen her before. but this was how she was presenting herself to new people and i think most of you are too cowardly to admit that (or consider that) that is a wrong way to introduce yourself on here. if it were someone we know, like neetta (just to use an example the same age that has been here longer) it would be totally different cos we already know her and have seen her before. but because this girl is new here and, if you look at her messages this week, is trying desperately to get attention from guys willing to give it, i just felt like this would prevent her from ever being taken seriously here. neetta's struggled with people accepting her as a regular person/music listener/artist instead of just a "cute girl." with that hindsight i just thought i'd impart some wisdom before it got worse (more graphic pictures, for example). anyway, you don't have to agree with me, but shame on you if you're just in this to get "jerk off" material like corrupted put it. |

I hate it when girls come upon the realization that the superficial is good enough (for most males), and will serve as compensation for other aspects that other people choose to promote as a representation of themselves... many times the blatent insecurity for which exhibitions like this are meant to cover drowns out their actions.. and it's often quite sad. on the other hand, I dont think anyone belongs on a self-constructed deus for suppressing instinctive sexual urges/desires.. I dont think being attracted to one's physical appearence should be any more shameful than being attracted to their personality or the depth of their character. its how one chooses to balance the two that is worthy of criticsm from others. one shouldnt consistently take precedent over the other. there are many girls I choose to keep as friends simply because I'm not attracted to them in a sexually moving way.. I dont think there's anything wrong with that or that there's anything wrong w/ my choosing to apply the same criteria in choosing a girlfriend.. if I'm attracted to them as a person and physically attracted to them..then there is potential.. and on the other extreme.. there are girls I spend time with strictly for sexual reasons.. no harm done on either side.. if we want it to move forward, we do so. if not, we continue as we had until we decide to break it off.. I think a woman should be proud of how she looks, and if she can harness her sexual appeal and apply it as an asset, she should do so, as it certainly hasnt' proven to disappoint many women as a means of getting what they want.
