Hey everyone! Spookylukes monitor died... Im sure you all
miss him. ;) He can no longer use his computer without a
monitor. The on/off switch broke back in August, and the
other day we came home from school at lunch to find the
screen blank. He tried different ways of plugging it back in
and using powerstrips and rebooting and everything, but
nothing worked. He used his mothers monitor to back up his
files on a cd, but after that she took it back.

So Spookyluke wont be back until he either a) finds another
monitor (hes too stubborn to ask any of his relatives if
they have any extra ones) or his parents get him his new
system for graduation.

He cant do his Autechre remix anymore! :| Poor guy!

I was just filling you in and seeing if anyone had any
suggestions on what he could do--or what happened to his
monitor.

Thanks everyone! ^_^

Buy a really rubbish old one for $40 just as a stand in. So
long as it does 800*600 it'll be enough to survive on.
Failing that go skip raiding. I'm serious, you often find
old working monitors in them. Word of warning, monitor
screens can implode if they are damaged so look for signs
that they've been smashed about or at least put it facing a
wall when you turn it on for the first time.

Thanks for the advice. :)

Not only is Luke stubborn, but he hates spending money on
anything, so I doubt he will do this. Hell probably just
wait until June whatever to get his new system.

"he hates spending money" Go skip raiding then!

You find them all the time in cities. Go into the car parks
of office blocks with skips and have a look. 9 times out of
10 no one will question you.
