BJORK remixes

I just d/led some remixes from Bjork songs.
As if her own music wasn't good enough yet, most of the
remixes I found are awesome!

These are some of the remixes I like the most:

- Joga (dose one remix) (the violin s and Bjorks voice are
used as samples to create some kind of new song)

- Hyperballad (over the edge mix) (No one can't deny this
doesn't sound like 'at the heart of it all' rmx by rdj)

- Isobel (Goldie remix) (sounds very Paris lounge - ish)

- Bachelorette (rza mix) (dunno how to discribe this.) It
kinda makes me think of hooverphonic, for those who know
them)

- All is full of love (plaid remix)
- Big time sensuality (plaid remix) (it's PLAID! need I say
more? )

- All is full of love (video version) ( THAT BASS!!)

There's the absolutely beautiful Brodsky quartet remix of
Hyperballad , and I found a remix of that remix.
It sounds ...ergh... crazy

What are your favourite remixes of Bjork?

The sensuality mix is kind of soft drum & bass.
very surprising!

OH Yay!

Joga (buzz water mix)
There's some kind of metal-ish effectes on her voice.
It's so kewl to put it really loud!

Poor neighbours.

http://www.arktikos.com/

it's now under reconstruction, not sure how long it's been
as i've not been for along whie, but there is an
unbelieveable supply of some of the best bjork mixes ever
here. they're all amature/unnoficial, so you are going to
run into some worthless stuff, but there are ratings and
some of the artists on here outdo most of the official mixes
imo.

as for official mixes, i really like fluke's hyperballad
mix.

supreme how do i hear this "dose one" remix? i like dose one
and this sounds interesting. do you know the real name of
the song? el-p redid "hunter" to make a sole dis track
called "linda tripp." that was great.

songs, she's in hawaihi(splg) it's late.....There needs to
be some emotional songs before I'm going to get
involved.....I got the mogwai cd this morning, It's a
really nice listen.

hearing it in june.

ok i will... so what did you think of my remix choices
(madlib, automator, hood, clouddead, telefon tel aviv...)
none of them have remixed her before and they'd all sound
amazing! theoretically.

also... "i've seen it all", i'd like to hear about that
sometime

order:
mu-ziq hunter
lfo possibly maybe
funkstorung AIFOL
plaid AIFOL
"immature (bjork's version)" (more of a demo than a remix i
guess)

something.

too much weird alien creening going on though.
damn, have gus gus produce it and it would be worthy of that

apparently bjork is a pretty dope producer in her own
right... it's a shame the only remix she's done of someone
else is a tribe called quest's "stressed out" (i have the
maxi-single).. at least i think that's the only remix she's
done. she's done collaborations but i dunno if she's
produced any music but her own yet...(?)

i love that mu-ziq remix cos it's so harsh and different
from the original.. yet so compelling. and it takes a genius
to think, "hmmmmmm distort the fuck out of bjork's voice and
throw in some calypso style steel drums. YES."

yeah. i can see that. well, mike p is a genius, no denying
that.

i do think bjork has what it takes to produce her own
albums. she certainly can do it, but i have no problem with
the current crop of producers she uses. as long as she
doesn't turn into madonna, who seems to be doing a really
bad impression of bjork right now.

hehe if you look at allmusic.com and see who's been working
on madonna's albums since debut came out in 1993 ol' girl
practically stole bjork's entire roster! minus mark bell,
console, tricky (he refused madonna; "i can help you NOT
sell records."), and matmos.

anyone know if the video version of 'all is full of love' is
the funkstorung remix?

if not, who did it? (i downloaded a funkstorung remix that
sounds fairly familiar, but i don't have the video to check
it against.)

excellent video, by the way.

I purchased a cd titled
"the best remixes from the album debut for those who don't
buy white labels"
and almost every remix on it sucks,...
and yet, I've gone and downloaded plenty of awesome remixes
of the net, (such as the plaid & Fluke remixes)

next time, I try before I buy,
