there is a really big difference between the styles on Manitoba's (a.k.a Dan Snaith) two albums.
his first album, 'start breaking my heart', is pretty electronic, ambient breakbeat stuff. but his second one, 'up in flames' is much more acoustic, with him singing on a good number of the tracks.
if you've heard both of them, which did you prefer? or if you've only heard one of them, whatd you think of it?

i've not really had the chance to let the new one sink in too much... but it is very interesting... as for the old one... well it was pretty good, but i haven't really listened to it in a long time because it's not really that exceptional... that said... i can totally see where Snaith is coming from on a lot of tracks on the new one in relation to the old one... he uses some similar breaks and whatnot... only with a more organic and varied arsenal this time 'round... good stuff for Snaith, 'cause i doubt he'd leave much of anything as a musical legacy if he'd stuck to the formula...
