There has been a lot of draft 7.30 threads and the last
thing i want to do is add to that non-sense.

I wanted to instead focus on this one track. Which, to me
is, the standout track on the whole album. They are all
great but this one outshines them IMO. I can't even begin to
put this into words so i will try:

"Most Groundbreaking track since.... i dunno"

Once in a while I hear a track that really moves me. This is
one of them. Anyone agree/disagree?

This is the track I have been saying over and over is my
favourite on the release. As I described it in another
thread, it is a hip hop track where the rapper has been
replaced by a bile producing machine.

It's damn good, one of my faves. Third behind VL AL 5 and
V-Proc.

Nothing much happens in it, so it's mercifully pretty
short... great ending. Listening to this song makes me feel
like I'm being viciously punched in the face repeatedly.
Left hooks, right hooks, uppercuts, jabs, roundhouses, and
an occasional poke in the eye.

Funny that because some threads make me feel like doing all
that stuff to you...

Joke :D

Seriously that opening melody into that super deep crunchy
break down followed by that faint little melody gives me
hardcore goosebumps.

I wish autechre themsleves would read this and understand
that i understand the supreme genious of this track!

I had to put it on, I'm still not that all familiar with
Draft yet. Speaking of draft, *cracks a beer*.

I love that "bile" sound real mushy.
V-Proc is THE shit though.

I already need more Autechre, good thing for the contest
can't wait to hear some tracks.

I don't mean to be a posting whore but i should have done
this first. Let's analyze this a little:
------------------------------------
00:01- 00:10 is a very nice intro. Something different and
unique sounding that works as a nice attention getter.
00:10- 00:24 is that breakdown is was talking about. Getting
punched is the perfect description. I picture a hardcore
beatdown by many or what is refered to as a "mollywopping"

Taking notice at points 00:24 and 00:43 where that little
ass, almost hidden, melody appears. Seriously this little
melody is trapped in my head and is yet so beautiful!

For sure, This track is absolutely brilliant... But, the
finish touch, is definetly Reniform puls...

One of the standout tracks for me as well.
Also, does everyone else's copy of Draft have 20 or so
seconds of silence before Xylin Room starts.

I think my copy does anyway. Tis a great album, i was
pleasantly surprised by how much more melodic it is. The big
dirty fart noise in reniform puls made me laugh out loud tho
:)

*to all those who haven't got the album*

you can get the track in mp3 from the Draft 7.30 µsite
here. : )

it's a very good track... though not much happens in it, it
has a bizarre (maybe even a bit melancholic) and soft
ambiance to it, with some percussions seeming out of place
and worn-out but still fitting well with the ambiance -
sounds a bit to me, like...

the end of the life of a machine.

the track title though, is great but doesn't fit the track
very well!
