Last I heard of it in my part of the world, West Nile was
being exploited with wild glee by the insect repellent
companies.

If you look at how many people died from SARS and how many
die each year from just falling from stairs worldwide, there
are other things to worry about than SARS.

falling from stairs can hardly be characterized as epidemic
!?

Not what I meant, I meant that there are more dangerous
things than SARS.

Statistically you have more chances of getting killed in
traffic than getting killed by SARS.

Take a look at a regular flu, kills thousands a year, and
they consider it not worth mentioning in the media.

(I have to admit that I gave a stupid example).

i know what you mean, but if we didnt care about sars it
could become very dangerous and numbers would get much
higher then...i think

Could be, I just don't really see any reason to pannick, but
"we" should keep an eye out and look for a cure off course.
