Please give it a try, it is a bit different than the other
two tracks I have done and I would really really really like
honest feedback. :)

A really great piece of work, Lee. I love the noise
harmonies and rythms, sub-rhythms... it's the kind of stuff
I've been contemplating recently too :)

Great job!

nice. I'm not really very good at commenting on music, but I
liked it. It sounded quite accomplished.

Thank you, it is only my 3rd ever track :D

Amazing. I wish I could make stuff like that. What are you
using?

i liked the tension in the track... alot of suspense!!! the
hihats came in nicely...

but i couldn't help wanting to hear it just drop into a
really difficult rhythm or something... although, maybe the
obvious isn't always best. i liked everything going on here,
though.

Thanks for listening. I actually contemplated doing exactly
what you suggested, but when I started to work on that
section I felt it started to detract from the overall mood I
was trying to acheive, so I just decided to leave it as it
was :D

i also listened to your 2 other tracks...
pretty sophisticated (the first one, mainly) for being first
attempts at music. some people never have a feel for those
types of rhythm... they just dont think inthose terms.
continue to churn stuff out... experiment... these will just
get better and better. props.

well... my one friend has a hard time finishing songs. he
gets only so far, then his idas cramp up on hiim. maybe not
the same thing, but my advice is the same for you as i would
give him...

let it sit. then come back to it. if you STILL think it
needs something, it prolly does. just getting away from a
piece of music can clear your ears out... work on something
new... then come back to it.

another thing to bear in mind is that the WHOLE piece doesnt
have to be one place or zone or mood... sometimes its good
to stay solid, somtimes not... once again, it all comes down
to your own judgement versus your ears... the law of
inertia applies, too.

I think the needlefix track needs extra work doing to it,
the synergy track was really just a throw away first attempt
at making something. The Distroted High track is meant to
reflex a bad high from drugs, and from that view point I am
pretty happy with the way it plays as a shortish peice. I
wanted t try and maintain the tension through out without it
ecome monotonous. I don't know if I quite managed that but
at this stage I am satisfied with it :D

maybe adding something OTHER than a rhythmic element... liek
say, another layer of drama via a synth or a nice hollow
drone to create some ghost notes???

ok I'm stoned so bear with me...

I like the way the bass picked out certain notes. The
fluxuating spikey feedback in the background was a good
compliment to it. First thing I was reminded of was 'Temper
Temper' by Goldie - the Gallagher riff has the same anxiety
to it. I see this as more a landscape than a song. I mean
you could do plenty with it, or leave it be. If it crashes
into a drill n bass segment then it might sound a bit
Snaresish. I would like to see it go somewhere else, maybe
as it's based on a bad drugs experience have it peak
slightly and then fade away into steady rhythm. I dunno.
Well done though.

THis is the first of your tracks I've listened too, it is
certainly very strong for someone so new to making
electronic music. Just wondering if you have any previous
musical experience?

Good the way the different elements interact and come back
into one another.

My only criticism would be that it might benefit from some
pained vocal samples or perhaps just another instrument to
give the frequency a bit more breadth- so it's not just high
and low.

You even avoided the common "beginner's trap" of making it
too long with to little variation! Well done on all
accounts, keep at it, you seem to have a gift for it.

hehe, thanks. The only previous musical experience I have
is listening to tons and tons and tons of stuff over the
years.

At the moment I am still just exploring the sounds I
make...I am still finding it difficult to produce exactly
the kind of things I want to do, but hey I suppose the more
time I spend aking tracks the better I will get.

I will actually look at adding another frequency band
because listening to it again this evening it felt a little
flat in some places.

Thanks again :D

I just gots to disagree about the pained vocal bit - vocals
would ruin the automative feel to it - especially pained
vocals, which to me would be pretty crass and predictable!
:P
