So true!
The last song is ammmmmaaaaazzzing
The whole album is growing on me, starting to sound like
more than just Confield2

it is SO much more than an imitation of itself. i described
it to a friend who hasn't heard it yet like this: it is a
timeline through everywhere they have been, and yet, you
have never seen it like this. it is completely different.

I like it, based on one and a half times. Just got it
today. I agree that it could be a tad more varied, but hey,
there was a ton going on.. it's prolly just a matter o'
time. My favorite so far is 9, love those brutal drums.
The melodies are surprisingly lovely too .. I think they are
perfectly suited to the tracks. I'd give it a definite
thumbs up.
Oh yeah, and I waited it out! no mp3s! anybody else go all
the way?

being ruined and going nowhere

hehehe

Stop with the Gallagher imitation, tibbar. It wasn't funny
then, and it's not now.

;)

Draft 7.30 and Gescom's new EP are on the way to me. So I
look forward to my listening pleasure. To be honest, I've
not listened much to the mp3 floating around, so this will
be a fresh experience. I'm listening to lots of post-Tri
Repetae Ae to prepare myself for anything...

:)

history channel

don't count on FRS, they claim to have it on their site, but
there's no way you can order it there
same crap with confield months ago

i'm gonna get Draft this afternoon at my shop here in
Eindhoven :) nice birthday present i'd say

hey but since you're from Nijmegen i'd have a look at Kroese
if i were you, they had some æ stuff the last time i was
there

Draft 7.30 is a building being erected to some strange form
of a creature.

draft kicks ass

period

offline ggloom from California (United States) on 2003-04-09 21:08 [#00641811]

track 2 is currently my favorite. the amazing absolutely
gorgeous splashy gargling noises remind me of Piezo (track
6) on Amber, most definitely Autechre to the extreme.

oh yeah and Confield was SERIOUSLY the last album on my mind
while listening to Draft 7.30. honestly, I felt like I was
hearing every release BUT Confield, you know, within the
music

I just picked it up yesterday
so far 9 and 10 are my favorite

the only confield similarities i hear are the drums on
viviii viviviviiv whatever, and also some parts where it
sounds a tiny bit like the 'percussion' in parhelic triangle
(which is definitely a good thing).. but i've only heard it
once, on the train, so i could be very wrong..

offline ggloom from California (United States) on 2003-04-09 21:36 [#00641841]

i think i might know what you're saying about the drums on
vi vv vvivivivivi(track 2). like when there's a quick echoe
after they hit...kind of like umm the strings on eiditic
casein (if i spelled that right)

offline rF from __e____e_________e______q_____ (Australia) on 2003-04-09 21:38 [#00641843]

no i meant they kinda sound similar to pen expers.. but yeah
i'll give it another listen to see what you're talking about

offline ggloom from California (United States) on 2003-04-09 21:53 [#00641863]
Points: 303 Status: Regular

okay I used a bad example of the drum delay/echoe effect...i
don't think anyone's going to understand me saying the drums
sound like strings . ?

offline DiaZoHeXagoN from The city of angels (United States) on 2003-04-09 21:55 [#00641865]

nah im kinda lost
but the drums in dollars and cents on amnesiac sound like
they are deflating
