ok, first the good: If you really rendered that background, you are pretty damn good. If I were you I'd keep on working with the 3d rendering stuff. How long have you been doing 3d work? And what programs do you use? now the stuff that needs work: You spent a long time on that 3d background which is very good. Why did you cover it up with the text? It doesn't "gel" that well together, and it takes away from the background(which should be the main focal point). So as far as text, i would recommend spending more time on that -- if you spent hours on the background you should put in "equal" time on the text, it just seems kinda rushed. I would move the text to the upper right of the picture so it doesn't cover up the background. Also since the image is dealing with "equations" you might want to very lightly mask some cool looking equation over the image. BTW, what photo editing software do you use> i have looked at your art on your fansite, and i have to say you are improving somewhat. the art on that page reminds me of circa 95-98 art people used to do (ie. difference effects, lots of layers). Now it is cliche to do that kinda of stuff. But if it is your art and you like how it looks keep on doing it. There will always be people who don't agree with you. Also by now you should learn to just ignore people who aren't posting under a "regular" name, they just want to get a reaction out of you... ps, check out: check out his graphic section, amazing stuff. just to get an idea of what is "out there" as far as talent. |

Reflex, I've taken your back on many occasions but I must say- This isn't all that great. I saw it a while ago in another post of yours, and didn't like it then... Okay, even if you did actually go thru all the 3d modeling of that city [which, no offense intended, I don't believe.] it's still not a wonderful picture. Not just trying to put you down, just trying to justify what these other guys are saying. In a month you'll be over it and realize what we say. Whenever you pour alot of effort into something you always think it's so so good [everyone does]... I think you're looking at it a different way as well- When people see a logo for an artist they love, in a 600x600 or whatever jpeg on the internet, they aren't thinking "wow, that person must have been in maya all month working on that background!" they think "whoa... that's cool" or "whoa... that's pretty" or "whoa... that's scary" then click the X in the corner and move on. Keep a smile reflex. It'll be okay! |

I actually like the text, and the background, individually. I think, however, that they somewhat clash together. Although I hate to accuse you, especially because I like both elements of the work, something inclines me to agree with bolechim that you did not actually 3D render the background. It would put down my suspicions, and I am also interested, (the question was posed two times already without answer), as to what programs you used to design the art.
