Has anyone had any problems with Windows Me? I've had several fatal problems with it,I've had to uninstall it. I've got a Windows Xp Pro disk today,is it any good? Should I install it? At the moment I've got '98.... |

Well, Win Me is a load of rubbish. everyday my pc crashed severall times, I went insane. I am currently using Xp pro and am not complaining. Never crashes and is not too slow or so. As long as you can run every program you need under Xp i'd say go for that one, but '98 isn't bad either. |

As it is windows there will be problems. But Xp pro is a very good one (as far as my experience goes that is). |

I hated winME. Go if you don't need FAT32 then go with Win2K or WinXP. Both are great. I personally liked a few things in Win2k more, but XP is more stable. If you have apps that don't like the winxp shit go with 98se. |

XP Pro is good stuff. No more blue screens (at least I never had them), and of course win32's trusty powerful security, network and file sharing options. Don't even go there unless you have at least 256 MB RAM though. I used to run XP on my 128 MB system, but it's much much better now that it's upgraded to 384 MB :D |

I have 512mb of ram with XP pro and I still need more. the problem is that 512mb ddr ram chips are expensive. |

Don't bother. WinXP doesn't use more than 512 MB RAM. Perhaps you need a faster CPU?? |

My cpu is mega old....I don't have any idea as to find out how many RAM it has,because I know nothing about computers. |

I'm running a 2.4ghz pentium IV. I just need more ram becuase I do a lot of video editing and run a million prgrams at once. |
