has anyone ever walked around their home or outside with a
tape recorder (or something similar), and used it to find
interesting samples - especially in terms of making music?

i'm just imagining someone recording sounds of their toilet
flushing over and over again. or the vacuum making that
disturbing sound after something big and metallic clanks its
way into the bag...

i really want to sample the noise that a train horn makes
from a distance

it sounds awesome

i was thinkin of micin me mouth....ya know, put the mic IN
your mouth then bang on parts of your head/face
that would make some interesting percussion sounds if ya did
it right
