Trafe on 2001-10-09 15:37 [#00039719]

Well, thats what RDJ said anyway - does that mean loadsa u
cunts are gonna start saying that aswell. I must admit They
do get a bit samey!!!!!!

Gishy on 2001-10-09 15:39 [#00039722]

To effin' right!!!! They Suck!!!!!!!!!!

|REFLEX| from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 2001-10-09 15:49 [#00039728]

and oh yeah,.....i'm a right proper cunt!

Richard D. James from London, United Kingdom on 2001-10-09 17:21 [#00039764]

No, i don´t hate them. I don´t hate the WARP artists.
Please don´t gain.
I heard the "DRUG-USE" album is going to be boom. Buy it,
mates.

`teapot. from mp3.com/xanpha on 2001-10-09 17:35 [#00039765]

no way do warp artists suck! yeah sure its true that they
all spawned from one idea, but i think the genre is young,
it'll evolve soon enough and mutate and what not

Baron Von Picklefoot from The Baron Got a new computer !!!! on 2001-10-09 20:04 [#00039805]

I really enjoy music that warp puts out for the most part !
I really love Nightmares On Wax ! It's good music to smoke
to !!THE BARON HAS SPOKEN!

Dirty Priest from Denmark on 2001-10-10 16:34 [#00040006]

its not supposed to be interpreted as Drug use. the title
makes as much sense as the other track titles!!

fuck these musicians on 2001-10-10 16:43 [#00040008]

Is anyone here Richard D. James?

Then how do you know what the title of the new album is or
isn't?

I'd say unless you are the man himself, or possible his best
friend, we can all only give our best guesses.

Chrispy from UK on 2001-10-10 16:49 [#00040011]

He sid on that interview that it isnt Drug use.

Chrispy from UK on 2001-10-10 16:54 [#00040013]

sid? I'm typing too fast.

I meant said {but you all knew that}

fuck these musicians on 2001-10-10 16:54 [#00040014]

You believe everything RDJ says?

Chrispy from UK on 2001-10-10 16:59 [#00040015]

ok, so what else are you supposed to believe?

Someone writes a play with a wierd title:

A fan of his says it means one thing and he says it means
another. Who are you gonna believe MORE?

He might be lying but what do we know, ya know?

BITCH on 2001-10-10 17:00 [#00040016]

i'd rather believe something about someone that came
straight from thier mouths rather than some speculative
guess from a bunch of pricks.

Chrispy from UK on 2001-10-10 17:01 [#00040018]

Same

fuck these musicians on 2001-10-10 17:04 [#00040020]

I hear what you're saying, but who did he tell this to? An
interviewer?

Did you guys ever see the anti-drug commercial (in the U.S.)
playing the first track from RDJ album?

Does that make sense?

That's fucking hilarious!

Aphex Twin lets the govt use one of his songs for an
anti-drug commercial.

Who knows. That's all I'm saying. Just because he says it's
so doesn't make it so. Let people speculate and call it what
they want.

oysterclam from the sea on 2001-10-10 19:16 [#00040049]

my hypothosis: rich is nothing but a patsy. he's a poster
boy. the gov't makes his music and thats what funds the drug
war. bloing!

or not, maybe it was part of rich's community service. i
once had to help build props for a high school play for
community service. it was cool. but then. i got glue on my
pants. and it looked really bad. ya know. dry crusty white
stuff near the crotch. but then i got high.

oysterclam from the sea on 2001-10-10 19:20 [#00040054]

oh yuh: about the other pizneeps on warp. um, i went to
nesh, and i gotta say, every thing but squarepusher was
kinna wack. i especially was disgusted by anti-pop-
consortium. aside from their name they weren't entertaining
at all. kind of a wack mix of kool keith (without fat beats
or the ability to rock the3 shit out of the mic) and a
version of company flow that doesnt know what any of those
big words mean. the rest was mad bleepy and slow and boring
and didnt make me dance. squarepusher was amazing tho. on
rephlex i like alot of them people. i like boc on warp
though. and i heard a prefuse song that was kinda
interesting.
that is all.

Julian Casablancas on 2001-10-10 19:21 [#00040055]

That's OK, because WARP artists hate you!

Archrival from NY, NY on 2001-10-10 19:29 [#00040063]

Aphex said in a interview that he liked BOC and the biggest
mistake he did was not signing them to Rephlex.
BOC was sending a lot of tapes to Rephlex and Richard liked
them but he didnt realized how much he liked them until they
got signed by Warp (and then it was too late).

Ofcourse he dont like Mira Calix, Vincent Gallo, Broadcast,
Richard Devine, Jamie Lidell, Plone etc

I think he likes BOC, NOW, Autechre, Prefuse73, Anti Pop and
maybe Plaid.

Archrival from NY, NY on 2001-10-10 19:29 [#00040064]

And RDJ said that he used this strange names to show that
its impossible to name the racks (they mean so much that you
cant express that with words) so in fact the names have a
purpose.

balthus from europe on 2001-10-10 19:45 [#00040065]

interesting bit about boc, archrival. i mean they are really
great. a beautiful place out in the country is awesome. it's
deep and and every detail is perfect... so i'm happy rich
didn't include them actually when he talked about 'shitty
warp artists'. sad, that they are not on rephlex, though.

hahaha

"i think the genre is young, it'll evolve soon enough and
mutate and what not "

looking back then, warp was way more varied then. now
anything they put out is either indie with electronics (!!!,
battles, maximo) or the same boring crap "idm" has been
coming up with for years.

oh, and autechre. theyve got bass.
