If you have Soundforge or some other software on your HD, the effects will automatically pop up in the effects menu..

check that it looks in the folder you put em in (just to be sure...you may have it set to somethign other than the VST plugins directory)
err in the directories menu (cant remember where it is offa the top of my head...prolly under options or tools or somehting) you can select the browser and plugin destinations...
the plugin one is a small thing at the top of the menu..easily missable
again this is all from memory
also you may have to go to "more" at the top of the list...coz the ones in the first list are only your "favourite" ones )(the ones with the F in the box next to em)
hope this helps

i got most of my plugins from the fruityloops page..... they had a section where there was this messageboard where ppl post URLs to sites with VST plugins and rated them on how well they work etc...
(you have to log into the site so you have to have bought FL and not cracked it..)

To tha' teethmeister:
I can answer all yo' fruity questions, do you have aim or some other instant messaging prog?
I think one of the best things to try would be to do this:
Copy the .dll [and all the files, just to be sure] of the plugin into this folder
.../FruityLoops3/Plugins/VST
Once you do that, [if you're using fruityloops 3.1 and higher] you should be able to choose it selecting "more" menu.
If it's an instrument- goto "CHANNELS", then Add One, then More... It should show up there.
If it's an effect, in the effect menu thing, just choose More... and you should see it in that as well.
Cheers!
Oh, and do the wank0r who needs the manual, Figure it out yo self ;D
You can do it, yr' a big guy! I started w/electronic music when I was 10 1/2 ish, I don't need no steenking manuals ;)
[I'm 15 now]
Oh and again, if you have aim grab my SN off my site.
Cya!

well i have only had if for 2 or 3 days now. i have figured out most of it but a manual will help to speed up the process.
i have found that even after i have "mastered" a program without using a manual, if i ever get around to actually looking at a manual, there is always something i missed or didn't realize was there. for example, after using a nord lead for 2 years, i was perusing the manual and learned how to really use the morph wheel. i had just been using it like a filter knob and i didn't know you could set each end of the wheel to different sounds and morph between them.
anyway, a manual would most likely show me some stuff about fruity loops that i hadn't figured out yet.

Well, if you mean if you go to 'Contents' in help... Is that what you don't have?
If so, I have it...

Well, you see, there's really only two "fruity loops plugins"- and you have to pay for them, on the fruity site.
What you'll want to look for are "VST" [effects] or "VSTi" [instruments] plugins, then use the built in fruity wrapper to use them as if they were a real "fruity plugin".
