i've seen some recent pics of aphex performing live. seems
he is using a sony vaio laptop lately. i want to know if
aphex is using the linux or unix operating system, since it
seems he is not using power pc based computers anymore, and
i just can't see him using microsoft windows operating
systems. can anyone confirm this? i read interviews of
him talking about running software called ircam on a silicon
graphics machine. can i purchase this software
commercially?

He isn't running any OS at all. The soundcard and mixer are
connected to his brain.
