"i can't believe people actually saying that this is a
'good' or 'scary' movie, i just don't get it,
"

i didn't think the jap. version was scary either... but then
again, i already knew the story. So no surprises really.

But the american version was sooo scary... i just keep
thinking about it. But well yeah... if you're not generally
a fan of hollywood movies... you probably shouldn't spend
any cash on a movieticket, as i doubt you'll like it as much
as i did.

The phone-message is pure genius :-p I thought the ending
was a little weak (her thinking it was all a joke), but the
30 minutes before that are just perfect. All that work to
erase a message, haha...

Donna: "So, er, thanks for dinner. It was great."

George: "Yeah. We should do this again."

Donna: "Would you like to come upstairs for some
coffee?
"

George: "Oh, no, thanks. I can't drink coffee late at
night, it keeps me up.

As I wrote I like the american version to,
but I just don't get why they didn't make Samara a freak in
the english version?
Also you get to see her kill a guy in the Japanese version,
and NOT in the english. And she was so big (just that fact
was scary) and looked really freaky (you never got to see
her face) in the Jap-movie.

I haven't seen ringu 2 or 0, but it might be like the
american "the Ring" has taken stuff from thoose movies to,
and made one movie out of the trilogy...
not sure about that though, I want to see 2 and 0, and know
nothing about them before I see them.

hmm... there was something else...
yeah I don't like that Naomi's son gets soo much time in the
english movie.
But then it's in a way similar to Samara, he's crying for
attention (that Samara is in the english version), so I
guess that has a point (eventhough I didn't like the kid,
and think he got way too much time).

The HW-version made me less scared. I thought the tension in
some scenes in the jap.-version were awesome!...
After I watched it I got scared just walking around in the
dark dormhall I live in.
