I've recently got into them. Anyone else a fan of this
group? I know it's pop DnB and a bit cheesy, but I like it.

;)

Yes I like their last album, first track is good and real
drum'n'bass, other tracks are good too, some other one is
too much commercial and easy.

i kinda dont like the way they got housey remixes of their
tracks for the pop charts.
i might have a little more respect for them if they had
stuck to their d&b guns.

i used to kinda like them, but then i heard the song 'catch'
WAYYY WAYY too much on the radio.

Yes, the harder sounding mixes are good. The only housey
track by them I really like I "Catch You". Even though they
seem to make commercial concessions they do seem to retain
some integrity, tracks like "Hide You" keep a nice
traditional DnB feel.

They're wicked!

Have seen them live a couple of times, and they are alot
harder, and more DnB than on the album.... wicked!

OK, sorry. I quite like Hide U but they just make me think
of Jo Whiley.

I bought one of their 12"s thinking it looked good, but it
was incredibly bad, horrible drum n bass lite.

they were fun to start with, and maybe will be again in the
future

but once they got plastered all over the radio they changed.
i saw them at reading when they played there (very good,
very dnb like) then in brighton after the album came out(got
a bit poppier, but retained the dnb look and style) then i
lost all faith/interest when they were on TOTP all dressed
up for pop

shame on them

Ahh, I didn't realise they'd been on TOTP. In a way it's
good that some music I like is in the charts...

I don't see whats wrong with good music being liked enough
to get on TOTP. Its when the shit soulless nonsense rolls
straight off the production lines and onto our media 24/7
that I get pissed off.

TOTP in the UK is crap. Now german TOTP is a different
kettle of bananas entirely. I could see Venetian Snares
going down well on there.

Perhaps if BoC released 1969 it would chart with some
success. I'm sure you'd all like that.

No that's what I mean, it's good I didn't know they were on
TOTP (I'd heard "Harder" on the radio once, that was it). It
means that knowing how popular they were dind't prejudice my
opinion of them. I think it's great thart there is at least
some music I like in the charts.

I had a demo version of 'Hide You' about a year before it
came out in the charts, when the record label got a hold of
them they seem to have changed style.

I have to say that the RESIST album has a small soft spot in
my heart....Like everyone has said here, it isnt anything of
a groundbreaking album, hell its almost unlistenable the
ENTIRE way thru.

There are more bad tracks than good...
Empty Skies is my FAV. SHe DOES have a beautiful and
powerful voice.

"hell its almost unlistenable the

He he, I feel the same way. It's not so much that the filler
tracks are intolerable, just I can't sit and listen to it
from end to end.

I despised Hide U from first hearing, and constant airplay
did nothing to help that.

I did like Catch though.
