Nah it was what I saw on the BBC site. I wasn't very
impressed at all. Chris Clark or something, the usual aweful
hamed up British acting.

The Cunningham stuff looks promising but that Chris Clark
stuff gimme a break. British films are so aweful its unreal
I always avoid British films.

hobbes,

No way I'm definitely not against war. Best goddam solution.
I was pro war before Bush and Blair were even thinking about
it. I'm pro liberation of oppressed peoples.

hobbes,

Yeah thats right Chris Morris. Just lame, really
dissapointing.

You see the British don't know how to use space and tension
within film. They have to smash it fall of dialogue, ya di
ya ya, dry camera work and photography. Its so boring,
America are so good at making movies. In my view Britain are
about the worst movie and TV makers in the world. Aweful
aweful stuff.

promo...
how did you feel (for example) when you saw those american
prisoners on tv....like scared animals i thought...knowing
what was coming....and the fact that like 80 per cent of
british soldiers were killed by allies or due to
misshaps...? shit we shouldnt go there i suppose or the
censors will walk in...

hobbes,

Its all been said before. Something a lot of the people on
this board don't seem to understand is that you can't live
life running scared. You have to face situations. Warfare is
definitely the last resort but when you dealing with
lunatics you don't have any choice. You have to be able to
actual get inside the lunatics mind and understand his
pyschology. Then and only then do you understand what needs
to be done.

Hobbes,

I'm talking about Drama. I enjoy watching documentaries.

We British can't make drama for toffee. We're not too bad at
comedy but to be honest I can't recall the last new thing
that I found that funny.

i do see what you mean...honest....but the honest truth is i
dont know whats going on really...and i cant just trust like
that....it seems to be fashionable to hate bush in
europe...and i refuse to follow a trend...but
*all in all i cant believe the us just want to help the
iraqi people*
then again i think hussein is a dangerous tirant

With a few notable exceptions, I find US drama to be pretty
bad. UK drama is of a regularly and consistently higher
standard.

Your digs at English TV. Quite stupid. Not you, just don't
agree with your opinion at all.

And also Warp Films, am I right in saying they are barely a
couple of projects in...
It's like booing a comedian just because he enters the
stage with in a non-funny walk.

DJ Xammax,

Yeah perhaps your right. I think my judgement could seem
somewhat pre-emtive on Warp Films.

The Chris Morris stuff in my view was pretty awful but Chris
Cunningham is awesome so I guess I will just wait and see.
Warp Films may get certain elements right but if the acting
is poor it can really let down a film.

Yeah Chris Morris isn't for everyone, but he is, as dobbin
said, a genius.

I finally got that Brass Eye DVD by the way, very twisted
