is that a charter rate or sumthin'? :)

im not sure how much it costs, but i'd say the big festivals
are opened for people with invitations only, smaller ones
cost just as much as a ticket for the cinema (i'd say about
10 usd)

we europeans are cheap :)

I found a tape of the Limey secondhand about 8 months ago. I
would like the dvd, but its not that easy to get - probably
have to get it from Amazon.

I did just order the "Rushmore"-dvd from amazon.co.uk - love
that film. :)

I wanted the special Criterion 2-dvd-set edition, but it was
region 1 only, and I can only play region 2 (haven't found a
crack yet..). WHICH SUCKS!! :*(

ahhahah

i'm a total FILM fanatic.....and european movies are fav's
because unlike the standard american made movies (most of
which are take offs of great european films) european movies
are NOT predictable. i hate knowing half way through a movie
whats gonna happen....drives me to distraction.

listen i'm WRITING down all these movies.....and believe me
if i can get them here i will see them. i've gotten lots of
great advice on movies, music, and books from this MB! =0)

(i have deals for travel that are almost too good to be
true, but they are. it's one of the benefits of being in the
industry!)

OMG they have a 2 DVD set of the
LIMEY..........oooahhahahahahahha

i'm gonna look for that one!

i keep forgetting about the different regions in
europe.....it's such a skam don't you think. i should be
able to buy stuff there and vice versa and it should play
AROUND the world.....=/

yes, but most people forget documentaries are still films -
the combination of images, editing and use of sound can
still manipulate enormously.

don't listen to the critic's seriously........GO SEE IT AND
MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND!!!

i learned long ago that while critics are interesting to
read and sometimes i agree with them. they have a critical
eye, and sometimes can't see the beauty cos they are so
jaded.

tell me what YOU think after you see the movie! =0)

don't like Ghost World much. I knew the graphic novel long

i saw ghost world too (i really like thora birch) but it
just didn't feel REAL to me at all....some parts did (like
how cruel they were to him in the diner) but otherwise the
whole relationship didn't work....IMO

it was an original movie tho....and i liked all that
