What's your favourite console game?

...and what makes it so great in your opinion?

Mine is Vagrant Story for the psx. Gameplay-wise, it is
like a super evolved Final Fantasy, the battle engine is
amazing and weapon customisation is very deep. The medievil
setting is a nice change for a [] game, it very stylish and
looks fantastic for a psx game. The story is brilliant too
(won't ruin that part :P), and last of all it only takes
around 30 hours to finish (nice change from the usual 60 +
hur epics ;)). Oh, and yeah the music is also killer and it
has the best intro to a game i've ever seen :D

I would have to say PS2, Vice City, Fifa 2003, Metal Gear
Solid, Tekken 4, The Getaway... Pretty loads of amazing
games with superb graffics..

The only problem is that it is very sensitiv to anything. I
had to buy two of them in 3 years. and the one i have now is
starting to make some weird noises

REZ yes that game is great.

It's the best music/game ever, so artistic and beautiful I
love playing this game.

I've heard rumors of a sequal too. (crosses fingers)

Yo man, Wipeout 3 rapes Wipeout Fusion. Fusion sucks so
hard. They ruined the series.

The racing physics are completely fucked. If you tilt the
ship down or up it makes no difference on how it
handles/flys. The music is lame with the exception of maybe
one or two tracks. The Track design/look is lame, the ships
are herendous, the characters are to laugh at. I pissed on
my fusion after I bought it thinking it was going to be
awesome.

The resident evil series for psx and ps2. I pretty much
consider it one long game, just keeps geting better
everytime. I heard that all the new re games are only gonna
be available for the game cube, too bad, I've been trying to
put off the inevitable (buying another system).

It's a 3-way-tie between Donkey Kong Country(SNES),
Pikmin(Gamecube), and Halo(Xbox).
Better than fresh produce.

Have you played the 2nd Soul Calibur yet? If you have a PS2
your bonus character is some shitty old guy from Tekken.
Luckily I've got the choice of getting it for Xbox(Spawn) or
Gamecube(Link from Zelda).
nyeah nyeah!

I'd say either Final Fantasy VII or Panzer Dragoon Saga for
the Sega Saturn. Everyone knows Final Fantasy VII, but
Panzer Dragoon Saga did not get the credit it deserved. It
was an amazing RPG, especially for the time. It is rather
short, but has great music, great video and a great plot.
The battle system is the most fun out of any RPG.

snes: donkey kong country, super metroid, street fighter II

psx: Wipeout, Wipeout XL, Wip3out

imo wip3out is the best of the series. high rez mode, analog
control, killer track design and appearance, the total
package just doesn't get any tighter.

haven't played Fusion, afraid this series has seen it's best
days already

I think Nes - Elite must be one of my all time favourites,
so I'll say the nes, but I love the DC too esp. for Rez.

The 2nd Soul Caliber? What game is that. I really liked
Soul Caliber for Sega and have been hoping they would do a
version for the PS2.

I play way too many racing sims on the PS2. My current
favorite is EA Sports F1 2002 but I'm waiting for Auto
Modellista!

I got Orta right when it came out, and I really like it.
It's a lot of fun, but unfortunately, the plot is rather
derivative from Saga and the original. I haven't been able
to play it much because of classes, but it has a lot of
bonus features, which is always good.
