I like both of your tracks.....very nice relaxing, almost
dreamy feeling for me....very effective at the moment since
it's 12:51am here!

Somehow it reminds a little of End Sequence by Netlon
Sentinel, which I also think is very good

I have nothing that I think is good enough to put
online...I'm either a perfectionist or I play around with
different software too much instead of actually creating
good stuff...I'm working on something now though.

Don't worry I reviewd your stuff 'for free' ;)

Cheers,I doubt anyone else will like my tracks,I don't
really think they're great.

Good idea for a game Tone.

Orange Flange:

Nice and peaceful- sleepy, but not to slow. It's probably
the orchestra hit, but there's something about it that makes
me think of the RDJ album, but down tempo (may just be that
I've been playing that album slowed down recently mind ;))

NIce odd glitchy sounds from time to time, but not so
frequent as to disrupt the peacefullness of it.

Just out of interest, is the end sound sampled? It sounds
very familiar.

Over Loop:

IMO, not quite as good as orange flange. Maybe it could do
from being a little shorter or perhaps more of a
metamorphasis as the track progresses? That said I enjoyed
it and I liked the light plucky melody in particular.

Get my music here!

I like this game.

yeah orange flange rocks very catchy and smooth overall, the
ending could use a bit of work but hey I'm not complaining.

Over loop was Ok it could be good with a new mix maybe just
fuck with the levels a little. This song needs to be on an
album it needs songs around it to support it.

Nice work though give me some more !

sorry for some reason sarfari doesn't like links but the
interface is so good I can't pull myself away.

Ceri.

The drowning song is good, but could use some
changing,repeats itself a bit.

I highly recomend everyone listen to Parrafin Psychic, very
moody.Psychotic.
Very unique.I'm not very good at reveiwing, but I do like
that track.

Cheers for the feedback :)

He he Paraffin Psychic is one of my favs. lots of woirk went
into it. It was the first track I bothered to EQ properly
and give some polish to.

Child,you are quite gifted!

I like whay you've done. The beats are great, sounds like Amon
Tobin sorta stuff.I'm not to sure on the piano melody, maybe
give it some sick bass,to give it extra mood.

yeah Ceri cool stuff, you can always tell when someones put
the effort into their songs, congrats.

unrelated note: does anyone now if there is a program
(anything) that can seperate high/low frequencies so I can
pan them individually?

Has anyone noticed Over Loop is just a loop from
OrangeFlange played over and over, over lapping.
Its just one channel used.I never use any affects, because
all i'm usuing is a FruityLoops demo.I can't even save my
tracks!

Erm, is that good or bad? Are you saying it's a copy or is
it a compliment?

Thanks for the feedback, either way :)

I can see why you'd compare it to saw 2(although I'd never
thought of it before):
unitelligble Voices, largely repetative, similair long
droning synth work, more complex background melody etc.

offline WeaklingChild from Glasgow (United Kingdom) on 2003-03-24 03:52 [#00612920]
Points: 3354 Status: Lurker

no, its a compliment.
it was really chilled. thats kinda the type of music i dig.
dont get me wrong, i like the odd splatterbeat assault and
snare rush once in a while, but i like to chill mostly.
easier on my brain, you see.

Cheers man!

He he, I wrote that when I broke up with my long time gf.
What I was trying to do was get across a sinister air, then
peaceful, then sinister etc. Of the two main loops I think
one sounds ominous and unnerving and the other is peaceful,
almost like soft female voices singing. The track is meant
to say how life goes from bad to good and back again. It's
always changing (and to quote ninja tunes, "It's always the
same...") ;)

-BEDTIME4
dug the simplicity of this, at first i thought that it could
use an additional hard percussion but as the track
approached its end i realised that would spoil it

-soflipp
really enjoyed this one. the harmonies are great, got my
nerves sparking up.. and the percussion here fits in
perfectly. ill be listening to this again :)

-lovelucky
the first synth sweep really made my nerves jump out.. the
main pad is really warm.. the delayed vocal sortof throws it
for me, but now the main percussion has kicked in it all
makes sense :) very lovely.

-paraffin psychic
i think the low end synth sounds are the highlight of the
track.. the harmony does something good for me. im not a
huge fan of pure ambient stuff, but all the same ill
proabably get right into it when im not wired on nicotine
gum :)

-click no cheese beach
yes, now this is my sort of thing.. the breathing sounds
under the dub techno beats, the seagulls and the Very subtle
harmony are a great combination :)

Thanks of the feedback Rocken, I'll check your stuff out in
the next few days too.

I should point out that click no cheese is largely Monoid's
work- the samples are all his. I just did a lot of the
arrangement and added some vinyl like distortion and the
seagull sounds.
