havent seen a thread on this but at www.marchofdeath.com
you can download their collaboration called "march of death"
its got the lyrics on the site and its about the war on
Iraq. Its pretty good but sounds really similar to Rage
against the machine if you ask me. download it and post
your opinions on it.

quite a lot different to rage, i think.

although his vocal style does make everything he's in sound
like rage, but musically this is much more complex than
rage. no octave/5th leaps on the bass here......

oh yeah, forgot to say.....

it does sound pretty cool :D if only it could achieve a lot
more.

the end of the song where shadow scratches sounds a lot like
morello's guitar style and the main little "riff" if you
will sounds like rage too as well as the vocal delivery but
I found it to be good and am still waiting for a solo album
from de la rocha.

Zack cant sing any differrent and since his voice was half
of what made Rage, Rage, it will sound similarr.

mindblowing but nice none-the-less.

yea this track is awesome.. i can't wait to hear the rest of
the album. it was rumored last year that zack would be on
the next matrix soundtrack (and now it seems deftones AND
team sleep will be as well, besides a new rob zombie track
w/ charlie clouser... but i'm getting sidetracked here).

a good angry response with shades of the energy of the
industrial band Consolidated from one of my favs...totally
cool.

Thanks MachineofGod

I enjoyed that very much :-) Thanks for the link! I couldn't
understand a word of the lyrics, but the music was
excellent. I'll read the lyrics/listen closer to it when the
album gets released.

I dont think this will be on any album, just a 1 song
internet deal sorta thing.

the album may never come out at this rate, but if/when it
does, zack has over 40 songs to choose from from the last 6
years. but since this one is important, at least lyrically,
i'm sure it'll be released on the album or on something else
coming out soon.

i dont dig this music really, i mean i dont find electronica
(tho this one is hiphopish) suitable for vocals-it kind of
get the attention off of music, could be cuz im slow...:)

does this song have the "edge" that RATM had? (- the
lyrrics)

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2003-03-24 14:52 [#00613737]

well, some nice lady vocal sample, perhaps...for the
background or sumthin...
but zack's voice is just too powerful, his style of doing
vocals gets all the attention :)

of course... he has a dominating presence. i love music that
makes you listen multiple times to get the full effect.

yeah, i can express my self pretty good in english hehe,
dominance is what i was trying to say...his voice is so
dominant...it just goes better along rock music imo-could be
im still in shock because of the ratm breakup...dunno...
