videogame frustration

any of you get the same? It seems that the only thing that
can really spark enormous amounts of agression in me right
now is frustration from videogames.
Right now I'm playing GTA3 and this game is ,atm, the
topmost frustrating game I have ever played. I could really
tear down the walls over this game. Anyone have the same
experiences?

yes, especially with vice city if I'm having trouble with a
mission. That can be really frustrating. But it's usualy
just one of those days.

Yes video games are annoying especially when you're own 10
year old sister can beat you at GT3!

My brother used to suffer really badly from this. I remember
when Iw s very young seeing him rup the joystick off the
table (tearing the suckers off in the process) then banging
the joystick against the wall so hard that he yanked the
flex and my poor spectrum fell on the floor :/

Dead or Alive 1 on the PSX caused me to nearly break a
knuckle though...

I get really pissed off with unfair games. But if they are
just difficult I don't mind. It annoys me people go into
fits of aggression just because they suck.

Just re-installed Commandos 2, this game is going to get
played to death! Until I get to level 4 :s

I know what you mean, if it's your fault it's nowhere near
as annoying as when the computer "cheats" or puts you in a
position (esp. in old arcade games) where you were trapped
and couldn't escape.

I'm on the last mission in Vice City and can't beat it, it's
been like 6 months since I got it too.....
motherfuuuuuuuckeeerrrrrrr.

Zone of the Enders:the second runner has now become my new
frustration, damn this game is tough as heck.

also Winning Eleven 6 - best soccer/football game ever. I
suck at it still but I shall prevail!

that is exacltly the tip I'm on with this one. Especially in
GTA3 where the visuals often obstruct proper gameplay, and
this games' missions at times seem sheer impossible to
achieve without cheats (to me at least) and even with cheats
it's a tough nut to crack. And the limited option of
savegaming doesn't really help either. Neither does the fact
that as soon as you get out of your car you're bound to get
clobbered by dozens of gangbangers no matter what
neighbourhood your at, in the end they're all out to get
you,all shooting at you. In short, fairly unfair stuff.

I really enjoyed tenchu 2. hard, but worth it if you have
the patience and can live with the odd bug.

The level editor is great. Easy to use and quite versatile.

mm-hmm. my friend owned it and we sat around and made levels
for eachother for months and months. never got
old...until....uh. one day i guess it did. or something....

my only claim to fame is having 'grand master' on all three
layouts of every level on the first tenchu. god i love that
series. have you played 'wrath of heaven' yet? wow.

yeah mario sunshine gets really frustrating from time to
time :-s... some of these challenges are totally ridiculous
and unfair (i didn't buy this game to clean the teeth of
some big fish, or push a huge watermellon around (that keeps
being destroyed by enemies that can't be killed... grrrr).
When i buy a mario-game i expect platform-action.

I just LOVE the mini-levels where mario's waterspraying
device gets stolen! They're incredible hard and scary... but
not unfair. That's what keeps them enjoyable. Next time i'd
like a whole game with this sort of stuff :-p

It was an eel silly; and I liked that part! Those duck
things on the watermelon level really pissed me off though..
And I really didn't like many of the mini-levels - It's so
hard to judge distances! Luckily there's usually a 1up
hidden near the beginning so you're not constantly having to
start over all the way back at the main hub.

how is wrath of heaven? I loved the first one and I was
thinking about getting this.. (or auto modellista?) how much
has the game expanded since part 1? ( I know they took the

"It was an eel silly"

oh yeah, right. Now i remember it said eel in the title of
that chapter... but it sure didn't look like no eel to me!
:-p

It would have been okay if you didn't have to go grab some
coins every 3 seconds... that really frustrated me. The
guy's wearing a diving-suit, and he still runs out of air
underwater?!

"Those duck things on the watermelon level"

he, i finally beat that level last night,... i found out how
to destroy those ducks after all. (get them close to the
strange little plants, spray plants with water so that a
pyramid suddenly pops out of the sand... this throws the
ducks into the air and they explode when they hit the ground
again :-D It felt good to finally get rid of those
annoying little fuckers.

The mini-levels reminded me of the days when i played super
mario bros for the first time. That game was also full of
those jumps of doom (only one block hanging in mid air to
land on... the horror... the horror :-p That game made me
scared of heights probably ;-)). The mini-levels are like
that. A real adrenalin-rush!

Anyways, enjoy zelda tomorrow you lucky man :-)

*waits for zelda some more weeks*

yoshi is supercool :-D
I'm so glad that he's back in this game!
(even though it sucks that he just dissapears if you don't
feed him enough fruit. No such thing ever happened in
supermario world... hm...).

The way he squirts juice is also quite disgusting :-p It
looks like he's vomiting... it even sounds like it!

"

damn... i wish i had known that earlier :-/

I think i'm not going to bother getting all 120 shines (does
anything special happen if you do?). I can already tell i'd
have to spend waaaay too much time searching for those pesky
blue coins.

Not to mention having to do those mini-levels again with a
TIME-LIMIT to grab 8 red coins... ! It's just too much.

I can still remember my dissapointment in mario64 when i
finally found all 120 stars, and all i got was a stupid
conversation with yoshi :-/

There's 120?! I beat it with 86.. I might try and find the
rest when I'm incredibly bored; otherwise I'll just leave it
at that. Getting 100 coins on each level plus finding all
the blue coins I missed seems way too tedious. The native
Delphinians make reference to something else happening with
the collection of the remaining shine sprites but, like you
said, in 64 the great reward was a lousy conversation with
Yoshi. I don't know if the anti-climax is a continuing
tradition or not and I really don't care enough to find out.
